  2. A “woman’s intuition” is a real thing that modern neuroscience is only beginning to understand and measure! Here are some key neurological factors that contribute to female intuition: 🧠 Larger Mirror Neuron System: With more active anterior cingulate cortex and superior temporal sulcus areas, women can more accurately interpret nonverbal cues, better anticipate the needs of others, and navigate complex social dynamics. 🧠 Higher Inter-Hemispheric Connectivity: Enhanced communication between the brain’s hemispheres allows for more integrated and holistic processing of information, contributing to a nuanced understanding of complex situations. 🧠 More Active Anterior Cingulate Cortex: Crucial for error detection and judgment, enabling women to make quicker and more accurate assessments in various situations. 🧠 Stronger System 1 Thinking: Often referred to as the “gut feeling” mode of thought, which is fast, automatic, and relies on heuristics and pattern recognition. 🧠 Enhanced Emotional Processing: Higher gray matter volume in the anterior cingulate gyrus, insula, and hippocampus underlie women’s heightened emotional awareness, empathy, and interoception—awareness of internal bodily sensations. These brain regions play critical roles in emotional regulation, processing, and memory, contributing to enhanced emotional and empathetic responses. 3. Imagine if your brain fundamentally changed every week. For women, this isn’t science fiction—it’s reality! Because estrogen and progesterone are powerful neurochemicals that significantly change female brain physiology, mood, and cognition as they ebb and flow throughout the month. That’s right… four different brains, four different realities—every👏 single 👏month👏! Here’s a simplified overview: 🧠 Menstrual Brain: Lowest E/P, lower metabolic conversion of brain fuel, less activity excitatory/mood boosting neurotransmitters, more sensitive to stress, more introspective/intuitive cognitive state. 🧠 Follicular Brain: High E, higher metabolism, up-regulate serotonin/dopamine/epi/norepi/glutamate neurotransmitter activity, better focus and mental energy, enhanced EQ. 🧠 Ovulatory Brain: Peak E, peak energy/focus, peak mood, peak emotional intelligence, enhanced communication skills, more social cognitive state. 🧠 Luteal Brain: Low E/high P, up-regulate GABA, neuro-plasticity, neurogenesis, microglial activation, enhanced IQ and memory consolidation. This monthly brain cycle affects every aspect of a woman’s life, yet it remains largely ignored by mainstream medicine. Ignoring this fact means misunderstanding half of humanity’s mental health and cognitive potential. 3. 🔸His DNA can live in your body for life After pregnancy via the fetus, his DNA can stay in your brain, heart, and organs through microchimerism. He leaves more than a memory he leaves cells. _ 🔸His semen reprograms your immune system Semen contains proteins that train your body to tolerate his DNA, helping future pregnancies. Your immune system adjusts to him, not just the baby. _ 🔸His genes build the placenta and control how much your body gives The placenta comes from his DNA. Some men create more demanding pregnancies, pulling more nutrients and energy from your body. _ 🔸His lifestyle shows up in your baby through your body His diet, toxins, and stress change his sperm. That information shapes your baby and your body processes it during pregnancy. _ 🔸Every new partner resets your immune system Each new father means your body has to adapt to a new genetic blueprint. Back-to-back pregnancies raise immune stress and complication risk. _ 🔸His DNA can influence your postpartum recovery If his DNA leads to a high-demand placenta, you may be left more depleted after birth slower healing, lower energy, and harder recovery. _ 🔸His sperm quality can raise inflammation and slow healing Poor sperm (high DNA fragmentation) is linked to placental issues and inflammation, increasing risks for postpartum depression and fatigue. _ 🔸His genes can shape pregnancy complications that linger postpartum Some paternal genes raise your risk for preeclampsia or gestational diabetes, which can lead to long-term health issues after birth. 1. 3. 2025 marked 5 years behind a @sonyalpha camera which led me to becoming a Sony Alpha Ambassador and selling 6500+ prints of my art work - worldwide. And, 2025 marks 5 years of taking the leap after getting laid off from my 9-5 to become a full time nature photographer. A daydream I had for years while sitting at my corporate desk. I felt this feeling in my soul that I was meant for something even more. And, I was right. More than right. I first picked up a camera in 2008 and it took me till 2020 to finally make it my main career. I started to connect more with intimate landscapes and macro photography in a way to connect more with myself as I moved to the Sonoran desert. I gained a curiosity for plants more than ever before. Diving deeper into botanical subjects and learning about the science of it all. And, diving deeper into the confidence to share more of my art online to all of you. Using the Sony Alpha 7R IV and Sony Alpha 7R V - I found tiny worlds and intimate moments in nature. Moments that I would normally step over or ignore while outside. Finding color and detail is my specialty within the intimate scenes of the natural world. Now, in San Francisco after my camera lead me to love (hey, husband!) - I can’t wait to see what the next 5 years brings. Here is just a slice of some of my best work to remind myself and the world of how far I have come. I hope my story and work inspires you to look deeper at nature today, tomorrow, and into the future 🍃 #SonyAlpha #AlphaCollective #SonyAlphaAmbassador
