  2. 🤩 moment of truth!! Did we fix the @sezane sweater?! It’s not perfect but at least it’ll fit an adult now versus my 1 year old! How I stretched out this shrunk wool sweater: 1. Filled a small tub with warm water and 1/3 cup conditioner without dyes or colors 2. Let your sweater soak in the water for 30 minutes 3. Place flat on a towel and roll it up to get the moisture out 4. Start stretching slowly. I spent at least 10 minutes stretching the front and back. 5. Let it air dry on the towel flat 6. Observe your masterpiece Might try steaming and stretching next for better results 👀 What do we think?? And now, there’s more. I found another name—Zhongshan Zuoyo—on a piece of paper in one of her videos. That supplier is also listed on Alibaba(cc: Whitney Rose’s Prism brand lmfao) This video isn’t to encourage dropshipping from Alibaba. It’s to get you thinking about what you’re really buying from brands like Parke’s. It may not be quality, sustainability, or ethics. It’s the illusion of fitting in, or getting closer to the lifestyle she promotes. But the truth is, you’re not getting closer, you’re just funding it. All observations shared are based on publicly available information and my personal opinion as a sustainability researcher. Sydney Sweeney’s lingerie brand Syrn claims to “celebrate women in all their forms.” But like a lot of clothing built on pseudo-feminist marketing, that empowerment message gets a little blurry when you look at who is actually making the clothes. Because in the case of Syrn, they are not being made in some cute little feminist atelier in LA. I connected Syrn to Brandix, Sri Lanka’s largest garment manufacturer, which, once you dig past the press releases, has a long and complicated history when it comes to the treatment of garment workers — the vast majority of whom are, you guessed it, women!!!!!   3. There are three main reasons why I bought this stuff Reason 1: when I was a fast fashion creator and I was buying outfits for instagram content. A lot of this stuff was worn only once. Reason 2: FOMO. Either on sale or sample sale and didn’t want to leave empty handed. Reason 3: I had not figured out my personal style and bought whatever looked good in the store.   3. If I asked you what an archivist does, what would you think of? Besides “I don’t know,” a lot of people imagine a windowless, dark, dusty room, with older workers who are very serious and a bit cranky. In reality, archivists work with the public a lot, 90% of my day is spent helping patrons! But other times, I get to do cool things like this. I found this photo in our historic photos collection and wanted to do a #thenandnow of this photo that includes what is now @vidatacobar and @annapolisicecreamcompany. It’s really neat to see pieces of history interact with current day and this is just one very small example of that. Life update: Today, I beat cancer! 👊🏼 First of all, I wanna thank the Lord for giving me a second life. 🙏🏼 Few days before my operation, I was in extreme anxiety but I hold on to His words in Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” -And He did! ❤️ Thank you @tghcares for the warm accommodation. Thankful for all the nurses who took care of me - Teresa, Janice, Barbara, Sue, Rekha, Shelby, Yolanda and to all the transport guys, thank you for a smooth transition from operating room, recovery room and patient’s room. To my doctors/surgeons - Dr. Bukkapatnam and Dr. Sirohi thank you so much! They successfully removed cancer in my left kidney through robotic (Da Vinci) laparoscopic partial nephrectomy procedure and my kidney is still in tact! Praise God! 🙌🏼 Shoutout to my dear husband who’s always there for me. I wouldn’t have done this without your love and support. I love you sweetie! ❤️😘 PS - To my mom, who wasn’t able to fight cancer 23 years ago. I wasn’t gonna let cancer take me without putting up a fight. This is for you Mama! ❤️ To everyone who’s still here, thank you so much guys! I’ll just need sometime to rest and recover and will come back soon! I miss you all!
