(Ad) Let’s talk about lighting… I’m always asked where I get my lighting from, and honestly, it’s one of the hardest decisions to make on any project. It’s also one of the most important when it comes to adding those all important finishing touches to a room. Everytime I share snippets of my home, I get quite a few questions, and lately it's been about lights and light switches. I was thrilled to work with @dowsingandreynolds when we started our renovation journey, a UK-based brand known for its stylish home accessories, lighting, and hardware, including items like drawer pulls, light switches and lamps. The decorators have left the building, hurrah! And I’m left with a beautifully beige blank canvas to make my own - automatically I’m thinking about how I’m going to dress the space, with soft textures, light green accents and plenty of natural wood. AD (gifted) even though the reno is STILL not finished the inside is 99% finished (although the boxes of tiles and cement mixer that seem to live in my kitchen says otherwise). Thankfully the living room is finished and it is exactly how we wanted it. We kept the original Victorian features and added a new ceiling rose to replace the sadly removed original. We wanted a cosy den vibe so we added pocket doors so we could close off the space at the end of the day or open it up when we were entertaining. I’m completely in love with our @dowsingandreynolds wall lights. I love having options for creating different warm, cosy ambiences on the darker evenings. Good lighting arrangement and fitting choices are so important when renovating and I feel they can be often overlooked. It’s certainly worth the extra thought when planning your renovation project.
