2025 in PORTRAITS It’s a wrap and what a year it was! When I think back on this past year professionally it was easily my most busy and most successful on several fronts. I took part in my first exhibition (thanks @tokyo_streets_24) and had some amazing brand sponsorships from some of my favorite companies. I was blessed with a whopping 207 individual private client shoots ranging from brand shoots, private portraits, couples shoots, engagement and proposals, studio sessions and some boudoir as well. Which do you prefer? 👇 Let’s talk about RAW vs Edited photos, and why editing is such an important part of photography, even for beginners. When you shoot in RAW, your camera captures *all* the data — but it looks flat, dull, and kind of lifeless at first. That’s normal! RAW files are meant to be edited. Think of them like a digital negative — they give you way more flexibility to fix lighting, colours, shadows, and bring the image closer to how the scene actually looked in real life 🌄 Here are 3 quick tips for shooting in RAW if you're just starting out: 📷 Change your camera settings (or phone app) to RAW format 💻 Use editing apps like Lightroom to bring your photo to life 🌤️ Slightly underexpose your image to protect the highlights (you can recover shadows later) I *never* skip edit
