  3. "There are dark shadows on this earth, but it's lights are stronger in the contrast." Poverty, terrorism, pollution, danger, gender inequality.. These are the impressions many have of Pakistan, I stand guilty with them. At least I did until I had the chance to join the #pakistanawaits Initiative to change our perception about this hidden gem just across the ocean! We travelled Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad.. planes, trains, busses and even rickshaws (a horse and carriage was involved too!). Met with, dined with and were invited to stay with some of the kindest gentlest people I've had the privilege to come across. Just across the ocean, at my motherland which I never had the courage to explore, I experienced.. raw beauty, genuine people, fireworks in my mouth, vibrant colours, dry sense of humour and the gusto to live life to the fullest.. We also held a safety plan discussion to educate participants and equip them be it for themselves or when they would help someone.
