Fish and Chips!😍 Using some of @favouritfoods herbs & spices!🫶 Serves: 2
Fish: Any white fish (I used hake fillets but you can use cod, haddock, etc.) Ingredients * 2 pieces white fish (skinless, boneless) * 2 tbsp cornflour * 1 large egg * 60–80 g golden breadcrumbs * 1 tsp Favourit fish seasoning * 1 tsp Favourit Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste) * ½ tsp Favourit garlic granules (or garlic powder) * Salt & black pepper (optional) * Oil spray Method 2. Prepare coating stations: * Bowl 1: Cornflour * Bowl 2: Egg, beaten * Bowl 3: Golden breadcrumbs mixed with: * Fish seasoning..Cajun seasoning..Garlic granules..Optional pinch of salt & pepper 3. Coat the fish: * Lightly coat in cornflour (shake off excess).Dip into egg. Press firmly into the seasoned breadcrumbs until fully coated. 4. Prepare for air frying: * Lightly spray both sides of the fish with oil spray. Place in air fryer basket in a single layer. 5. Cook: * Air fry at 200°C for 10–12 minutes…Carefully flip halfway and spray lightly again. Fish should be golden, crisp, and flaky inside..If the fillets are thick, add 1–2 extra minutes. -Air Fryer Homemade Chips with Chip Seasoning * 2–3 medium potatoes (Maris Piper or similar) * 1-2 tsp Favourit Chip seasoning * Oil spray Method 1. Prep the chips: * Peel or leave skins on (I left them on just gave the potatoes a wash). * Cut into even chip shapes… I added these to the microwave for 6 minutes or you can parboil. You can just add them straight to the air fryer, but I find this way the chips are soft on the inside and really crispy on the outside. * Spray with oil spray. * Toss with chip seasoning until evenly coated. 3. Cook: * Air fry at 200°C for 12-15 minutes. (Depends on size of chips cut) * Shake halfway! Ad| Potato Gratin using some of the Favourit herbs & spices!🥔🎄😍 @favouritfoods How many potatoes do you have on your Christmas Dinner?🤣 It’s hard to make potato gratin look appealing but the taste is👌 Ingredients: Potatoes – about 4 large potatoes thinly sliced 300ml cream 150g grated cheese. I used a mixture of cheese I had leftover (black pepper cheese and chilli cheese) but (Gruyère, cheddar, or any melting cheese is perfect!) 30g melted butter Favourit herbs & spices: 1 tsp smoked paprika 3-4 tsp garlic granules (I added 4 for a more garlic taste) 1 tsp dried thyme 2 tsp parsley Salt and pepper to taste Instructions 1. Prep the potatoes Peel (optional) and thinly slice the potatoes—ideally 2–3 mm thick. You can use a mandoline for even slices. 2. Make the seasoned cream In a bowl, mix together: Cream Smoked paprika Garlic granules Thyme Salt and pepper Add the cooled melted butter. Taste the mixture—this is your chance to adjust the seasoning before it goes in the oven. 3. Layer the gratin Preheat your oven to 180–190°C Add a layer of potatoes. Pour some seasoned cream over the top. Sprinkle a handful of cheese. Repeat layers until you’ve used everything. Keep a bit of cheese for later when you are taking off the foil. 4. Bake Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil add the rest of the cheese and bake another 20–25 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are fully tender. 5. Finish Sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving. Make sure to rest for 10 minutes so it sets nicely!
