In the mill he built with two ancient stone millstones, they will be turned into flour. What fascinates us is Franco's life journey in a world that changed before his eyes at record speed, that tempted him with its proposals for modernity, that engaged him in major social and economic issues, and that then betrayed him. The choice to return to the land is therefore a way of reacting to a system in which Franco had ceased to recognize himself. Today he lives a simple life, and certainly not a solitary one. Indeed, dozens of young people frequent his home as a place of meeting and learning, young people who have started agricultural businesses in the area and who receive from Franco an important example to continue.
