THE boss lady, #CocoChanel once said: "A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life." - and in my case...She was damn right ☝ Let me tell you a short story... 10 years ago, give or take, I woke up and told my mom: "I want to cut my hair." My mom being as cool as she's always been took me to Annika (@poshguate) on a freaking school day (yes! I got late to school because of that, guess she was excited 🤣) and let's just say... that magical stylist (powerful woman) has been in charge of my hair ever since. But this is not a hair story, although it does take a lot of attention 🌈 (it's been like rainbow!!) This is a 'growing into yourself' kinda story. I, as we all, struggled with lots of insecurities back then. Still do, just not the same. One of my biggest insecurities though, was that I was not comfortable with how I looked because it didn't feel like myself. My mindset was changing, my circles, beliefs, all of it was changing. Rules about how a woman should look or how she should act started to get on my nerves. Who on Earth defines femininity or masculinity? And why should I play at looking a part a didn't believe in? Anyway... Internal changes and inner awareness requires a lot of work. I was slowly getting to know myself better but I wanted to visibly reflect this changes. So, I changed my hair. A LOT. And... it felt uncomfortable because I was still battling with all of the insecurities. I felt great! Felt like myself 💖 yet... the moment I got out of the salon, I got scared. What would people think of me? (Right?) I have to be honest here. The teasing came, even from friends. The: "Why did you do it?" "You looked great with long hair!" "You look crazy now" (what's wrong with that? Ha!) "Are you cutting it again? Why???" Let's say I decided to "Fake it 'til you make it!" because even though most of those comments hurt or even made me doubt my choices for a second there... that was actually me and the people that saw that, encourage and motivated me 🙏 Judged or loved, both were done to my actual self, and that's okay. So... I kept changing my hair along with my inner self until one day, I no longer felt fear when I got out of the salon. I fe
