Maybe it’s the expensive pricing. Perhaps it’s the limited influencer database. Maybe it’s the (lack of) user-friendliness. Or something else entirely.

Either way, you’re shopping around for an influencer marketing platform that isn’t Upfluence. And you’re in the right place, because I’ve reviewed dozens of options to bring you a comprehensive list of the best Upfluence alternatives – including a side-by-side look at how each tool compares to Upfluence.

Why consider Upfluence alternatives?

Upfluence certainly isn’t a bad influencer marketing platform – far from it. It integrates with pretty much everything; it lets you search for influencers on all the big networks (plus lesser-seen options like Pinterest, Twitch, and even WordPress). And it has a creator marketplace with built-in automations, which is perfect for brands that don’t have the time to build campaigns from scratch.

But it’s not perfect, either. Based on my platform research and analysis of user reviews, I think these are the biggest issues with Upfluence:

  • Influencer database: Upfluence only lets you search from 9+ million verified influencers, so it can’t truly compete with market-leading influencer search tools like Modash and HypeAuditor.
  • Pricing: Upfluence doesn’t publish pricing information on its own website. But, from G2, we can see that plans start at $478 per month – and that only includes the platform’s influencer search and outreach features. Bolt on other essential functionality (like campaign management, analytics, and influencer payments) and the price adds up fast 💸
  • Influencer outreach: With Upfluence, all communication with influencers goes through the platform rather than your own inbox. And who wants yet another inbox to worry about? 🙄
  • Purchase risk: Upfluence only offers annual contracts. So if it turns out you made a bad choice, you’re stuck with Upfluence for a year 😬
  • Self-serve options: Upfluence doesn’t let you sign up for a free trial on your own. Instead, you have to start with a demo from the sales team, which isn’t great if you want to move quickly or prefer to try it yourself to see if it’s the right fit.

That’s more than enough reasons to at least consider Upfluence alternatives. So here they are…

1. Modash

🥇 Best for: End-to-end influencer marketing for Shopify stores

🤔 What is it: Modash is an end-to-end influencer marketing platform for Shopify stores, giving you all the tools you need to find, recruit, manage, and pay influencers (and track their content). Use our best-in-class Shopify integration to run influencer campaigns that grow your audience and drive more sales.

🤼‍♂️ Modash vs Upfluence:

  • Shopify integration: Whereas Upfluence integrates with Magento, Shopify, and WooCommerce, Modash only does Shopify. But Modash’s Shopify integration is the best on the market, letting you create promo codes, track clicks and redemptions, manage affiliate links, and simplify influencer product orders.

  • Influencer database: Upfluence only has 9+ million influencers in its database, whereas Modash lists every public profile on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube with 1,000+ followers. That’s 350+ million influencers 🤯

  • Influencer search: With Upfluence, you search for brand-fit influencers using 12+ advanced filters, such as niche, location, and engagement rate. Modash goes way further by offering 37 search filters, plus our AI search tool, which lets you describe the type of influencer you’re looking for using simple, natural language.

  • Outreach convenience: Upfluence forces you to communicate with influencers through its platform instead of just using your own inbox. With Modash, you keep your existing inbox – so if you send an email through Modash, you’ll see it in your regular account too. Plus we give you at-a-glance access to vital influencer outreach intelligence like performance metrics, custom notes, and previous brand collabs.

  • Transparent pricing: Upfluence doesn’t publish pricing information, whereas Modash’s pricing page gives you an in-depth look at our plans, features, and how much they cost. As an added bonus, Modash also offers a self-serve free trial and rolling monthly contracts.

💵 Price: Modash offers a 14-day free trial. Paid plans start at $199/month (paid annually) or $299/month (paid monthly). 👉 Modash Plans and Pricing

🤝 Used by: Birkenstock, Bonprix, Victoria’s Secret, Mont Blanc, Sennheiser

✨ Review score: ★ 4.9/5 (Capterra), ★ 5/5 (Shopify App Store), ★ 4.9/5 (G2)

📣 Testimonial: “Modash is unmatched. Its huge data pool lets us quickly find thousands of creators with the right audience.” – Maris Niilus, Influencer Campaign Specialist at Trendhim

2. GameInfluencer.IO

🥇 Best for: Influencer marketing for gaming brands

🤔 What is it: GameInfluencer.IO (or G.IO for short) is an influencer marketing platform focusing solely on the games, web3 gaming, and creative industries. Its parent brand – confusingly, also called GameInfluencer – is a dedicated influencer marketing agency.

🤼‍♂️ GameInfuencer.IO vs Upfluence:

  • Gaming influencer database: While Upfluence’s database is about 3x larger, its 9+ million influencers span every industry, from business to sports to fashion. On the flip side, G.IO’s is totally focused on the gaming and creative niches. So if you’re specifically searching for influencers in those spaces, G.IO is a better fit.
  • Influencer search: Rather than offering an influencer search feature, G.IO asks for your influencer category, market, and CPI rates. Upfluence gives you more control with its 12+ search filters, allowing you to get granular on the types of influencers you want to work with.
  • Campaign variety: You can run any type of influencer campaign through Upfluence, whereas G.IO focuses on performance-based marketing (CPM, CPC, and CPI). So if brand awareness is your goal (and/or you’re not a gaming brand), you’re better off with Upfluence.

💵 Price: G.IO doesn’t offer a free trial or publish pricing information.

🤝 Used by: Goat Games, PONOS, Sandbox Interactive

✨ Review score: n/a (sorry, I couldn’t find any reviews for G.IO on third-party platforms)

📣 Testimonial: “Results have been great!” – PONOS

3. Traackr

🥇 Best for: Enterprise B2C influencer marketing

🤔 What is it: Like Upfluence, Traackr is an end-to-end influencer marketing platform with a premium price point. It predominantly targets brands in lifestyle niches like beauty, personal care, and fashion.

🤼‍♂️ Traackr vs Upfluence:

  • Influencer database: Upfluence actually has a slight edge here, giving users access to 9+ million influencer profiles (vs 7+ million with Traackr).
  • Platform coverage: Traackr covers 13 platforms – although it doesn’t actually specify what they are – whereas Upfluence “only” supports seven platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Ecommerce integrations: Upfluence integrates with all the major ecommerce platforms, including Amazon, BigCommerce, Shopify, and WooCommerce. Traackr only offers a Shopify integration.
  • Competitive intelligence With Traackr, you can benchmark performance against your competitors and discover their top-performing influencers. Upfluence doesn’t have any competitive analysis tools.

💵 Price: Traackr offers four-week free trials on a case-by-case basis. Paid plans range from $32,500 – $55,000+ per year.

🤝 Used by: Lacoste, L’Oreal, Samsung

✨ Review score: ★ 4.3/5 (G2), ★ 4.6/5 (Capterra), ★ 7.7/10 (TrustRadius)

📣 Testimonial: “Traackr is our partner of choice because their tools give us the capability to take a more strategic approach when developing our influencer programs.” – Erin Kelly, Director of Integrated Communications and Influencer Engagement at Shiseido

4. BuzzSumo

🥇 Best for: Finding influential journalists in your niche

🤔 What is it: BuzzSumo is a media monitoring tool. So why’s it in this article? Because it also helps you track down the high-performing influencers who are most likely to share your content. Plus it’s a superb source for content inspiration.

🤼‍♂️ BuzzSumo vs Upfluence:

  • Influential authors: BuzzSumo has a database of 500,000+ journalists, allowing you to track down leading writers in your industry. Upfluence doesn’t explicitly do this (although no doubt some of the influencers on Upfluence are also journos).
  • Search functionality: Like most influencer marketing platforms, Upfluence’s search tool is built on filters (12+ of them, to be precise). Whereas BuzzSumo shows you the top influencers who’ve shared content relevant to your chosen search topic. It’s a different approach
  • Platform coverage: BuzzSumo’s search functionality only covers Instagram, X/Twitter, and websites. Upfluence covers seven platforms, including Insta, TikTok, YouTube, and WordPress.

💵 Price: BuzzSumo offers a seven-day free trial. Paid plans range from $199 – $999 per month.

🤝 Used by: BuzzFeed, Expedia, HubSpot

✨ Review score: ★ 4.5/5 (Capterra), ★ 4.5/5 (G2), ★ 9.1/10 (TrustRadius)

📣 Testimonial: “I can search for terms/phrases and quickly identify content that’s performing well in a niche or with an audience.” – Rand Fishkin, Founder & CEO of SparkToro

5. Influencer Gift Form

🥇 Best for: Streamlining influencer gifting

🤔 What is it: Influencer Gift Form (IGF) isn't an end-to-end platform. Instead, as the name suggests, it reduces much of the manual work involved in running influencer gifting campaigns.

🤼‍♂️ Influencer Gift Form vs Upfluence:

  • Affordable product seeding: Like Upfluence, IGF automates the tiresome back-and-forth of collecting influencer shipping addresses and variant sizing information. The difference is that IGF pricing starts at just $19 per month, whereas with Upfluence, the entry-level Search & Contact module doesn’t even include product seeding functionality (and it costs $478 per month).
  • Influencer search: IGF doesn’t do influencer search. So you’ll have to use some other platform (like Upfluence) to find influencers before you offer to send them free products.
  • Ecommerce integrations: IGF is a Shopify app, so it doesn’t work with any other ecommerce platform. Whereas Upfluence integrates with Amazon, BigCommerce, Magento, Shopify, and WooCommerce.

💵 Price: Influencer Gift Form is free for your first five orders. Paid plans range from $19 – $380 per month.

🤝 Used by: Avec Les Filles, Free Fly, Oklahoma Smokes

✨ Review score: ★ 5/5 (Shopify)

📣 Testimonial: “Automates the entire gifting process and integrates into your order flow.” – Adam Litvack, EVP of Marketing at Aves Les Filles

6. #paid

🥇 Best for: Influencer lifestyle-themed collabs

🤔 What is it: #paid is an opt-in influencer marketing network, which means it only features vetted influencers who’ve applied to the platform. So it knows a lot about the influencers it works with – making it a good fit for campaigns related to lifestyle events.

🤼‍♂️ #paid vs Upfluence:

  • Lifestyle data: With #paid, you can search for influencers based on lifestyle events like a pregnancy announcement or new car purchase. While Upfluence doesn’t do this, it does offer over a dozen influencer search filters.
  • Influencer network: It’s hard to find up-to-date figures regarding the size of #paid’s network, but I’ve seen numbers ranging from 10,000 – 30,000+. By contrast, Upfluence features 9+ million vetted influencers.
  • Ecommerce integrations: #paid doesn’t integrate with any ecommerce platforms, whereas Upfluence has integrations with all the major options – including BigCommerce, Shopify, and WooCommerce.

💵 Price: #paid doesn’t offer a free trial, and you won’t find any pricing information on the #paid website – but both GetApp and TrustRadius state that prices range from $499 – $999 per month. GetApp also lists a $2,499 per month enterprise-level plan.

🤝 Used by: H&M, Johnson & Johnson, Philips

✨ Review score: ★ 4.7/5 (G2), ★ 4.6/5 (Capterra)

📣 Testimonial: “Easy to use and launch multiple campaigns quickly.” – Jackie C, small business marketer

7. Awario

🥇 Best for: Keyword-based influencer search

🤔 What is it: Awario is more of a brand monitoring solution than an influencer marketing platform, but it does offer tools to help you find influencers and monitor content performance.

🤼‍♂️ Awario vs Upfluence:

  • Platform coverage: With Awario, you can search for influencers and monitor brand mentions across Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, and Vimeo, plus news sites, blogs, forums, and the general web. Upfluence covers slightly fewer platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitch, X/Twitter, YouTube, and WordPress sites).
  • Influencer database: Whereas Upfluence has a network of 9+ million influencers, Awario doesn’t have an influencer database at all. Instead, you have to rely on included and excluded keywords to identify influencers discussing relevant topics.
  • End-to-end functionality: If you’re looking for anything other than influencer search, Awario isn’t the tool for you. Upfluence does a lot more – including influencer outreach, campaign management, live content tracking, and influencer payments.

💵 Price: Awario offers a seven-day free trial of its Starter plan. Paid plans range from $49 – $399 per month.

🤝 Used by: Content Amplified, Michael Ruiz Consulting, UpJourney

✨ Review score: ★ 4/5 (G2), ★ 4.3/5 (Capterra)

📣 Testimonial: “Awario provides opportunities for crucial product feedback and encourages people who are speaking positively about your product.” – Kyle Lawrence, Co-Owner & Developer at Design & Develop

8. HypeAuditor

🥇 Best for: Influencer searching on Twitch and X/Twitter

🤔 What is it: HypeAuditor is an end-to-end influencer marketing platform, so you can use it for everything from influencer outreach to relationship management to payments. It also has one of the largest influencer databases on the market (although it’s still smaller than Modash – just sayin’).

🤼‍♂️ HypeAuditor vs Upfluence:

  • Database size: HypeAuditor features 206.8+ million influencer profiles, making its database approximately 20 times larger than Upfluence’s.
  • Platform coverage: With HypeAuditor, you can search for influencers on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X/Twitter, and Twitch. Upfluence covers all of those platforms, plus Pinterest and WordPress.
  • Learning curve: Although Upfluence is generally well-reviewed, some customers complain it’s not particularly user-friendly. On the other hand, G2 reviewers say ease of use is one of HypeAuditor’s best traits.
  • Ecommerce integrations: Upfluence has one of the most extensive integration lists of any influencer marketing platform. Ecommerce-wise, it integrates with all the same platforms as HypeAuditor, plus Amazon and BigCommerce.

💵 Price: HypeAuditor doesn’t have a free trial and doesn’t share pricing information – although G2 says it’s 32% more expensive than the average mid-market influencer marketing platform.

🤝 Used by: Dior, H&M, Philips

✨ Review score: ★ 4.6/5 (G2), ★ 4.3/5 (Product Hunt), ★ 4.8/5 (Capterra)

📣 Testimonial: “Using HypeAuditor, we’ve been able to expand our influencer marketing strategy, build relationships with proven influencers, and save time on reporting.” – Flora Macher, Influencer Relations Manager, Moon Magic

9. Fedica

🥇 Best for: Low-cost influencer search on Mastodon and X/Twitter

🤔 What is it: Fedica mostly does social media analytics and publishing, but it’s also an affordable option for influencer search. In 2023, Fedica acquired Followerwonk, a popular tool for analyzing content and finding influencers on X/Twitter.

🤼‍♂️ Fedica vs Upfluence:

  • Affordable pricing: Fedica’s influencer search tools are priced from just $29 per month. They only cover X/Twitter and Mastodon – but if you’re looking for influencers on one of those platforms, it offers fantastic value for money. Upfluence is about 15x more expensive.
  • End-to-end features: Beyond basic search, Fedica doesn’t offer any of the features you need to run influencer marketing campaigns, whereas Upfluence handles search, outreach, relationship management, analytics, and payments.
  • Free functionality: Unlike Upfluence, Fedica offers a free-for-life plan. Sadly, it doesn’t include any influencer marketing functionality, but at least it gives you a feel for the platform before you buy.

💵 Price: Fedica offers a free plan for social media management, but it doesn’t offer any influencer marketing tools. Paid plans start at $15 per month, but if you want to unlock Fedica’s influencer features, you’ll be paying $29 – $129+ per month.

🤝 Used by: Boeing, Johnson & Johnson, Visa

✨ Review score: ★ 4.4/5 (Cuspera), ★ 4.8/5 (Product Hunt), ★ 3.8/5 (Google Play)

📣 Testimonial: “A powerful and complete toolset for managing social media followers and outreach and content management.” – Tim Chambers

10. Kolsquare

🥇 Best for: Finding Facebook influencers

🤔 What is it: Kolsquare is a social listening and influencer search platform that integrates with Shopify. In 2024, it acquired Woomio, a Northern European-focused influencer marketing platform.

🤼‍♂️ Kolsquare vs Upfluence:

  • Platform coverage: Both cover the “big three” influencer platforms (Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube). But Upfluence also lets you search for influencers on Pinterest, Twitch, X/Twitter, and WordPress sites, whereas Kolsquare is one of the few tools I’ve seen to support influencer searches on Facebook.
  • Database size: Kolsquare features 3+ million influencers with over 5,000 followers across 180 countries. Upfluence, meanwhile, has a database of 9+ million vetted influencers.
  • Influencer payments: You can’t pay influencers through Kolsquare, whereas Upfluence offers one-click bulk payments via Stripe, bank transfer, credit card, and more.

🤝 Used by: NA-KD, Rituals, Sephora

✨ Review score: ★ 4.3/5 (OMR), ★ 4.6/5 (Cuspera)

📣 Testimonial: “Without exaggerating, for the first accessories campaign I launched, it took me 15 days to find and select KOLs. Now with Kolsquare, the same job takes me a day.” – Alice Mongeau, Manager of Influence and PR at Bobochic

So, what’s the best Upfluence alternative?

There are plenty of Upfluence alternatives out there. Some are end-to-end platforms; others focus on just one or two elements of the influencer marketing process.

But whichever way you look at it, Modash stands out thanks to our…

  • Huge influencer database, featuring 350+ million influencer profiles across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Smart influencer marketing inbox offering at-a-glance access to influencer data (like previous brand collabs, performance metrics, personalized notes, and more)
  • Time-saving automated content tracking, which captures live influencer content – even Stories – without forcing influencers to sign up for anything
  • Advanced Shopify integration and built-in ecommerce tracking
  • Affordable pricing, full-feature free trial, and the option to pay month by month rather than commit to an annual contract

But don’t take my word for it. See for yourself by signing up for a 14-day free trial.
