🥇 Best for: Low-touch influencer recruitment 

🤔 What is it: Technically, #paid isn’t an influencer search tool at all. Rather, it lets you invite applications from vetted influencers who have opted-in to the platform’s influencer marketplace.

🆓 Free trial: No

💵 Price: You won’t find any pricing information on the #paid website – but both GetApp and TrustRadius state that prices range from $499 – $999 per month. GetApp also lists an enterprise-level plan priced at $2,499 per month.

📱 Platforms: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok

✅ Influencer search features:

There are positives and negatives to #paid’s fully marketplace-based model.

On the plus side, influencers on #paid are highly likely to respond because they're actively looking for new partners. The whole process is super simple – just share your campaign and brief to start generating applications from influencers who think they’d be a good fit.

But on the downside, those influencers are likely already promoting lots of different products. Plus there’s a limited number to choose from – it’s hard to know exactly how many influencer profiles are available, but I’ve found numbers ranging from 10,000 – 30,000. And bear in mind that you're not choosing from the best creators in the world, but rather the best creators who’ve actively chosen to sign up to #paid.

👍 Other key features: #paid also offers tools for managing and measuring campaigns. It also deals with influencer handle licensing and content licensing, helping you amplify campaign reach.

3. Upfluence

🥇 Best for: Integrating with a wide range of third-party platforms

🤔 What is it: Like Modash, Upfluence is an end-to-end influencer marketing solution, handling everything from influencer search and outreach to content tracking and payments. It integrates with a wide range of third-party tools, including ecommerce-friendly platforms like Amazon, Klaviyo, and Shopify.

💵 Price: The Upfluence website contains zero pricing information.

✅ Influencer search features:

Despite being one of the biggest influencer marketing platforms, Upfluence’s search features are a little lacking. Its influencer database is tiny compared to platforms like Modash, with just 9+ million verified influencers. While you can filter based on factors like engagement rates, audience size, and audience demographics, the small number of profiles means you’re going to run out of matches fast.

But you don’t have to rely on Upfluence’s database – you can also use the platform’s landing page builder and CMS matching functionality to encourage relevant influencers to come to you.

👍 Other key features: As well as its influencer search database, Upfluence has an opt-in marketplace of 12+ million influencers, so you can accept one-click applications from influencers based on your own filters and audience targets (although, as I’ve already discussed, there are some major drawbacks to relying on influencer marketplaces). Other Upfluence features include a social listening tool, real-time statistics on your campaigns, and managing affiliates.

🤔 What is it: HypeAuditor is another end-to-end influencer marketing solution with one of the larger search databases (although it’s still just a fraction of the size of Modash – just saying). Use it to find, vet, and manage influencers.

💵 Price: HypeAuditor doesn’t share pricing information – although G2 says it’s 31% more expensive than the average mid-market influencer marketing platform.

✅ Influencer search features:

HypeAuditor offers an influencer search tool, with a database of 207.5 million influencers and 35+ search filters – including the ability to search for accounts that mention your brand and work with influencers already talking about you. It supports simple hashtag-based searches and lookalike searches, as well as helping you recruit existing customers as brand ambassadors.

The platform also weeds out low-quality influencers using its own metric, Audience Quality Score, which analyzes an influencer’s proportion of “real” followers, the volume of comments they receive, and their average number of post likes.

👍 Other key features: As an end-to-end platform, HypeAuditor handles every aspect of the influencer marketing process, from recruitment to campaign reporting to payments. Other useful features include the HypeAuditor Chrome extension, which gives you instant access to influencer analytics on Instagram and YouTube.

If you’re searching for social media influencers, Pitchbox isn’t for you. But if you’re looking to work with bloggers and other publishers, it’s a great fit. 

Pitchbox offers a simple discovery tool with its proprietary scoring algorithm, which analyzes 100+ data points to rank bloggers by OEP (Outreach Engagement Probability). Filter results by name, social profiles, demographics, and published materials to learn more.

👍 Other key features: Pitchbox integrates with SEO tools like Moz, SEMrush, and Majestic to ensure you’re only collaborating with high-authority websites. Its outreach features allow you to write personalized emails and follow-ups at scale, helping you get more positive responses.

💵 Price: Heepsy offers limited influencer search and analysis tools free of charge. Paid plans range from $89 – $369+ per month.

✅ Influencer search features:

Heepsy isn’t the most sophisticated search tool. But with just a free Heepsy account, you can find influencers using filters like category/keyword, location, and engagement rate. Or upgrade to unlock more advanced filters (like audience quality score and interests).

The platform also offers tools for identifying influencers among your existing followers and discovering influencers who’ve collaborated with competitor brands.

However, it’s worth noting that Heepsy’s influencer database is pretty small at 11+ million profiles. And while it’s strong within its home market of Spain, other countries aren’t so well covered.

🤔 What is it: Influencer Marketing AI – or IMAI for short – is exactly what it sounds like: an AI-powered influencer marketing platform. It’s another end-to-end platform, and it also offers some handy extras like social listening and comment sentiment analysis.

✅ Influencer search features:

Use IMAI to search a database of 300+ million influencer profiles, then fine-tune the results using 50+ filters covering demographics, location, and engagement rates. Or use the content keyword search functionality to instantly locate mentions of your brand, product, or chosen topic.

IMAI is one of the growing number of tools to support natural language search. Just describe the type of influencer you’re looking for – like food vloggers in Mexico or fashion creators in Paris with female audiences – and let the platform’s AI do all the heavy lifting.

Bear in mind that the ability to search for influencers on Twitch and X/Twitter is only available on IMAI’s higher-tier Scale and Enterprise plans.

✅ Influencer search features:

Traackr offers multiple solutions for finding influencers. You can search based on mentions of specific keywords (like your brand, competitors, and topics of interest); search for influencer attributes like job title, gender, and location; filter by audience demographics; and get proactive recommendations featuring people who are already discussing your brand, niche, or competitors. It also supports lookalike searches and helps you find influencers within your existing network.

While it’s undeniably a sophisticated platform, Traackr only has around seven million influencer profiles in its database, spanning 13 platforms and 50 countries. So its network is already spread pretty thin – and that’s before you add any search filters.

👍 Other key features: Traackr is an end-to-end solution, so it does everything influencer marketing-related. Brands in the beauty, personal care, fashion, spirits, and consumer electronics niches can bolt-on industry benchmarking data for $8,000 per year.

Don’t fancy doing the legwork yourself? Gia, GRIN’s agentic AI assistant, can do all the searching for you based on natural language prompts like “find me 200 small TikTok fashion influencers for my Black Friday promotion”. It’s a helpful feature – although, naturally, you’ll want to sense-check the results before launching your campaign.

🤔 What is it: MightyScout isn’t quite an all-in-one influencer marketing platform. But it does most of the stuff you need, from influencer search and outreach to gifting and influencer analytics. And it’s reasonably priced compared to bigger tools like Traackr and Upfluence.

💵 Price: Paid plans range from $99 – $749 per month

📱 Platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube

✅ Influencer search features:

Despite being one of the cheaper tools in my roundup, MightyScout has one of the largest influencer databases, featuring around 350 million profiles. Filter by platform, location, keywords, and engagement rate – or simply copy-paste the handle of your favorite Instagrammer to find thousands of similar profiles.

Just be aware that you only get limited credits to “spend” on influencer searches each month. For instance, the entry-level plan includes 20 credits, which is enough for 800 monthly search results.

👍 Other key features: MightyScout does most of the stuff you need to run successful influencer campaigns. Beyond influencer search, it handles outreach, content tracking, relationship management, campaign reporting, social listening, and more. The only major thing it doesn’t support is influencer payments.

Features to look for in influencer search tools

After analyzing dozens of different influencer search tools, I’ve got a pretty clear picture of the types of features you should be prioritizing. Here are my must-haves:

  • Large influencer database: The more influencer profiles a platform contains, the more scalable it’ll be. The largest platforms have 350+ million influencers, whereas some only feature a few thousand.
  • Upfront data access: Choose tools that let you analyze an influencer’s data – like engagement rates, audience demographics, and growth rates – without having to reach out first. Trust me, it’ll save you a ton of time. 
  • Extensive search filters: You’ll want to filter your searches to identify true brand-fit influencers. Make sure your chosen platform includes both influencer filters (like location, engagement rate, and hashtags used) and audience filters (such as language, interests, and fake followers).
  • Lookalike search: This is one of the most effective ways to streamline the influencer search process. Find other profiles with similar content and audiences to your top-performing influencer partners, then recruit them. Easy!
  • Influential follower search: Chances are some of your existing customers have sizable social media followings – and some search tools help you track them down. This is a smart move, because those influential customers are already bought into your brand and product.
  • AI search tools: A couple years ago, this was a nice-to-have, but now all the best influencer search tools have AI functionality. Prioritize platforms that understand natural language searches – like “mom with teenagers” – to bring you more relevant results.
