  2. On the 2nd of July, 2025, I had the honor of being sworn into the Governing Board of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). My appointment into the Board is backed by the section of the NIMASA act that requires 3 members with cognate experience in Maritime, Shipping or Labor. To be identified amongst a sea of many by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Hon Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, HM Adegboyega Oyetola CON, is indeed a privilege and one that I do not take lightly as I recognise the weight of this moment and the burden of opportunities it presents. My appointment gives the maritime industry a seat and a voice at the table of its main regulator and one of the top 3 MDAs in Nigeria. Whilst the journey is just beginning, I am embarking on it with hope, steadfast commitment and courage to put my best forward and build on the legacy of those that have gone before me. I look forward to working closely with fellow board members led by our Astute Board Chairman Alhaji Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar, to contribute positively towards the transformative agenda of the NIMASA leadership. I will like to thank my dad for being the first to believe in me 11years ago when I first forayed into the Maritime industry. Thank you for your mentorship, your love and your support. I also thank my strong support system who help me thrive and serve as the wind beneath my wings.
