  2. standing rock + caves side trail in nottawa is one of my favourite hikes in the winter months. although the trail is open year round, something about the snow covered mossy rocks makes it so much more magical in the winter. this side trail is located within a non-operating @ontarioparks (nottawasaga lookout provincial nature reserve), and together with the main @brucetrail_btc can be completed as an approximately 2 km loop. ⚠️ always exercise caution when hiking in the winter. ensure you are wearing proper gear, be prepared for icy/snowy conditions and always check the weather forecast before heading out. crampons are highly recommended on this trail as it can get icy, even into the spring months. note, there is also limited parking available at the trailhead. #ontario #exploreontario #discoverontario #ontariohiking #ontariotrail
