  1. I never realized the impact that a Wedding Video could have 30 years down the road until now. It’s unexplainable the feelings of watching your parents fall in love on the most vulnerable day. It’s heart wrenching to watch the smiling faces of grandparents and family members that were gone too soon, seeing the way they laughed and danced. I can’t describe how hard my brother and I laughed at the goofy moments from my parents wedding party - the people we grew up calling ‘aunt and uncle.’ Hearing my parents speak, that’s the real kicker. My dad surprised my mom with a speech at the end of the wedding that had us all in tears. This film was shown to my parents kids. And it will be played for my kids. I can’t express how emotional this video was, it tore my heart apart in the best way possible.

  2. I don’t think I ever knew the impact that the Wedding Video would have so many years later.. until today. I get it now. What it’s like to watch a Wedding Video 30 years later. I cannot express how many different emotions came up while watching my Parents’ Wedding Video. How can I describe the emotions of watching grandparents, aunts, and uncles that are no longer with us.. How can I explain the feeling of laughing at my parents’ friends being crazy/funny/human.. or seeing my parents in their 20’s and early 30’s, looking like teenagers, madlllly in love?? How can I possible share what it’s like listening to the speech my dad gave to my mom in front of all their guests - sharing how much he loves her. Weddings are a time that people get sappy, vulnerable, and extra funny. I got to see it all. My heart will never be the same. As a little background info to this video: My mom put all our home videos, including her wedding video, on a USB stick over Christmas. I spent the whole day on the verge of tears. Mostly happiness, and of course some sadness. 
This video shared over an hour of a day where my parents, my entire family, and all their friends that I knew my entire childhood, were all in one place. I don’t usually cry, but if I do, I can usualllllly keep it together. Not here. Trying to explain how special the wedding video was to watch had me in absolute shambles. I will without a doubt be having my own wedding filmed one day (that was always the plan but this solidified everything).
