  3. Ok, so I’m in my feels today. My babies had their first (half) day of school! The morning didn’t go as smoothly as planned - surprisingly not because of school jitters, but because I didn’t do the pony tails in the exact way that was expected of me haha, went over the hair a few times. There were some nerves on the way to school, but zero tears before or during - yay!! So I would say first day was a success. I was even able to get Franki to stand still for a few pics, which is a challenge of its own. Tomorrow will be a whole day, and Mommy can start organizing my life. My house. My brain.   2. @chen_yvr has to be the most unique Vietnamese experience in all of lower mainland Vancouver. They have a really good crab parcel that I recommend you to try. The Hanoi Donut reminded me of the Chinese donut but instead of congee it comes with their rich broth. Their vermicelli and bun Bo Hue are both really solid dishes to try. The dish that makes them really unique is their vermicelli and fermented shrimp paste. It comes with different herbs and veggies and there's some sausages to intestine and much more. The shrimp paste has a strong fermented taste to it and you can cut some of that taste with the calamansi and like they provide. I do recommend trying this out at least once if you haven't tried it before.   2. A little behind-the-scenes peek into what’s running through my head when I’m editing your wedding photos: When I edit I always remember that I want to bringing you back into your memories. Back to the way the air felt. The colour of the sky. The way the light wrapped around your shoulders. I want your final images to feel alive with reality — with natural skin tones, true-to-life foliage, skies that sing, and colours that breathe. But sometimes, to really do the moment justice, I have to dig deep into my @adobe toolkit. Cameras do an incredible job at capturing the *moment*, but editing is where you rebuild the *atmosphere* — the hush, the joy, the golden hum of twilight that invites you to stay in stillness a little longer before giving in to the slow creep of dark that demands your presence on the dance-floor. For Kimi & Allan’s portraits, I pulled out every @lightroom trick I knew to recreate the soft rose-gold haze of the setting sun and hint at the blue hour rolling in. It was the very last breath of daylight — and I wanted the photos to remind them of the colour of the night and reflect both the stillness of their final solo moments on the Savannah and the anticipation of a truly wild night with their friends and family.
