  2. More soup dumplings, MORE LIFE! But seriously I couldn’t be happier to see more soup dumpling spots pop up around Ottawa. How blessed are we!? The shengjian bao, pan-fried soup dumplings here are toasted to perfection and filled with flavourful meat and soup. And yes! You can watch them being made through a small window here too. For me though my biggest excitement was finding this Shanghainese style wonton soup with a super light and clean broth with the addition of the dark roasted seaweed. This is something I haven’t been able to find anywhere else in town. The wontons are buttery soft and melt in your mouth too. I’ll definitely be going back here many times this winter.   3. Ottawa’s newest Italian pastry shop and café We loved our experience at Dolci Sapori and will definitely be going back. All the desserts we tried were such great quality. Our top three were the pesche, the lobster tail and the pistachio cream filled croissant. This bakery makes everything in house, down to the pistachio cream! It’s actually a full café with affordable coffee and paninis for under $10 as well. They’ve been open for less than 3 weeks and they were bumpin’ on Sunday! Go check them out, you won’t regret it.   3. Je pense que les deux dernières années m’ont changée beaucoup plus que je voulais l’admettre. Elles m’ont changée mentalement, émotivement… mais aussi physiquement. Pendant longtemps, je me regardais dans le miroir en me disant qu’il fallait absolument que je retrouve la fille que j’étais avant. J’avais l’impression qu’en retrouvant mon ancien corps, j’allais retrouver ma confiance et mon bonheur. Alors, comme beaucoup de femmes, j’ai cherché des solutions. Des coachs, des régimes, des façons de perdre du poids rapidement… sans réaliser que ce que j’essayais réellement de retrouver, c’était la version de moi qui existait avant toutes les tempêtes. Avec le recul, je comprends que mon corps n’a jamais été le problème. Les deux dernières années ont été les plus exigeantes de ma vie. Le stress, la pression, les remises en question, les commentaires haineux… mon cerveau ne s’arrêtait jamais. Pendant que moi, je lui reprochais d’avoir changé, mon corps faisait simplement ce qu’il pouvait pour me porter à travers tout ça. Aujourd’hui, je refuse de croire que mon bonheur dépend d’un ventre plus plat. Je refuse de remettre ma vie à plus tard en attendant d’avoir “le corps parfait”. J’apprends tranquillement à remplacer la critique par la douceur, parce que ce corps-là m’a permis de traverser les moments les plus difficiles de ma vie. Il mérite tellement plus de reconnaissance que de jugement. Et si toi aussi tu mènes cette bataille en silence, j’espère que tu réaliseras un jour ce que je suis en train d’apprendre moi aussi : tu n’as pas besoin de changer ton corps pour mériter de te trouver belle. Tu l’es déjà.🤍🌷✨

  1. The Sony 16-35mm was the very first lens I bought when I started my journey as a landscape photographer, and it has remained one of my all-time favorite lenses ever since! I chose this lens over the 14-24 mainly because I wanted a more practical setup for using filters, but also because reaching 35mm gives me much more flexibility. It allows me to capture portraits or tighter compositions without constantly switching lenses while out in the field. If you’re into landscape photography, I highly recommend having a lens in this focal range in your kit. Tamron also offers a 16-30mm f/2.8 for less than half the price! I’ll be testing that one on my next trip, so stay tuned!
