The Schafler Ridge - Switzerland 🇨🇭 This is what I did: First cable car up at 7.30am from Wasserauen to Ebenalp 24CHF one way or half that with travel card Hike 45 - 60 mins to Schafler hut all up hill! (Get a drink and relax) Hike across the ridge, rails to hold on, big drops but a good path (if you don’t like heights I wouldn’t try it) Aim for the Mesmer hut was 4km ish and will take around 1.5 - 2 hours from Schafler hut Path gets better but still some cables and exposed bit towards the hut Grab lunch or a drink in the hut… 1 - 2 hour hike down to Seealpsee (lake) zigzag, take walking sticks Swim in the lake then hike down back to wasserauen around 45 mins Take plenty of water and food, don’t attempt this in bad weather, wet or windy or foggy, not worth it! You’ll need all your hiking essentials and very sturdy footwear (hiking boots) It’s a truly spectacular day out. There are routes available on all trails, I found it was well signposted but always take a map anyway! Enjoy 🏔️🥾🏞️ #hiking #switzerland #travel #ridge #adventure

The longest week of our lives but getting to take our perfect little girl home at the end of it is everything we could have ever dreamed of 🩷 I know your typical influencers create the most aesthetic after birth posts but I’ve just been taking as many photos as I possibly could on literally an hours sleep in 3 days 😂 (no joke I’ve been hallucinating 🤣) I actually did pack some Charlotte tilbury flawless filter for the birth HAHAHA the first contraction said absolutely not girl x I couldn’t have done any of this without @dan_hanbridge by my side and I only slapped his hand away once during labour which I am proud of 😂 our family have been amazing and I’m overwhelmed with the love & positivity from friends and all of you guys. My pregnancy journey hasn’t been an easy one but it’s been my journey and my story and I’m so beyond grateful for our rainbow 🌈 the most magical journey of our lives has only just begun and I’m so excited for all of the memories we’re going to make with our new sidekick. Now I’m off to cry, love you all ❤️ P.S - she weighed 8lbs 7 oz and was 4 days early (her due date was the 18th 🥹) - no sign of a big belly though lol! She’s a lot smaller in person but has the chunkiest cheeks I could die for 😭 Birth story coming soon 🩷

  3. A sink in my greenhouse. I’ve wanted one ever since I saw Laura @howsitgrowingnj had put one in hers, last year. I wanted it to be unique and when I saw this pot in my local @frostsgardencentres the vision came to me. I used @makeitrustoleum clear satin sealer to make the pot watertight. Bought the beautiful tap from @allthingsfrenchstore through Etsy. The potting bench is from @gardentradingcompany .   2. We are devastated to say that Jess passed away last Friday after an 8 year battle with cancer. Her positive energy was infectious and her family and friends loved her dearly and being around her. Even tackling this horrible disease for over 8 years, people couldn’t believe how positive and strong she was. Most people didn’t even know Jess was carrying this around with her, as she always skipped, smiled and powered through life. We are heart broken and she will be remembered forever.   1. From the moment we set off, Fin and I had no idea just how much this race would challenge us, change us, and bring us closer together. We’ve crossed countries, faced setbacks, ran for buses (too many times), and soaked in moments I’ll never forget. From the laughs to the tears, every mile has meant something. 🇨🇳🇳🇵🇮🇳 This was THE most amazing opportunity I’ve ever had and to be honest I don’t think I can ever top it! We’ve literally been able to see parts of the world I never dreamed I’d visit! What a wild, emotional, unforgettable ride.🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️ We’ve experienced so many new things and we met so many amazing people of different cultures and backgrounds. It was such a valuable experience and I cannot express how grateful i actually am to have been able to be a part of it!🌏 But what really stayed with me were the strangers who became lifelines, the people who helped us without hesitation, offered directions, a meal, or just any information when we needed it most. I’ve made some lifelong friends in the team and cast, as well as learned so much more about myself and what I can accomplish.🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️ On top of that I now know that any ups and downs me and Fin will face we can obviously overcome it because we completed Race Across The World together successfully (with a few bickers)!!💃🏻 I cannot recommend travelling this way more to anyone! I get that not everyone will be lucky enough to have this opportunity but if this journey has taught us anything it’s that you can seriously do anything as long as you put your mind to it.🫶🏻 Super excited to see what our next journey will hold for us.   2. These guys…deserve the biggest round of applause! Our team🫶🏻TEAM D🌏 They go through everything with us. From the long and rough transport to sharing all the memories. They’d watch us make questionable decisions and couldn’t intervene, just watch and record.🎥 Travelling for 2 months with people who were once strangers but then grow to be a massive part of your journey is so different but so rewarding. It’s a strange relationship because they obviously have a job to do but they ultimately became our friends (me and Fin felt like the annoying younger siblings🤣). We shared chats and laughs along with tears. We had so so so much fun (and really hard times too) but it’s such a special bond that we’ve gained solely because of this experience! My bucket list was to just go on a safari, never did I think I’d get two AND see a lioness AND a cub!🦁 We worked serving some chai tea for some money, because the budget is looking a little lower than everyone else’s?💴 Worked some more to camp and enjoy a meal with entertainment. The fireworks exploding on the tent wasn’t concerning at all!⛺️🎆 Chatted away to some locals who gave VITAL information, or helped us out big time. Is @lerelaisdevenise.london worth the wait? 🥩🍟 Well that’s exactly what I’m going to find out in today’s episode of 🎶Is it worth the wait? 🎶 It’s places like this which is why this series exists, because is this popular set menu REALLY worth queueing for over 20 minutes before the zchefs have even had a chance to rev up the stove? Well apparently so, because people are willing to wait up to 2 hours just to try L’Entrecôte’s famous steak and fries. I mean for £31, you get a salad with bread to start, and then not one but TWO helpings of steak and fries. So in a city where it costs £27.54 just to breathe, one thing is undeniable - it’s cracking value for money. My verdict on the food: - Salad was a nice touch but too mustardy for me - The steak was tender and cooked well - Fries were good but needed a generous dash of salt as they come unsalted - Their famous green sauce was……alllllrrrrrriiiight I waited just a little under an hour to get into L’Entrecôte, but was it worth the wait? Well you’ll have to watch and find out. (Would you wait an hour for L’Entrecôte?)

This is no ordinary seafood boil 🦞 ad invite Every Thursday till Oct, @crayfish_bob and his team cook up an unlimited crayfish boil down at independent brewery @_gosnells for £54pp. Not so fun fact: we have an invasive population of Signal crayfish in UK waters, causing havoc with our native crayfish and other local wildlife. So this pop-up is Crayfish Bob’s tasty solution to this problem. He’s been hosting these events for over 20 years! The crayfish is boiled with kielbasa sausage, corn-on-the-cob and baby potatoes, in Bob’s crayfish spice mix. For an extra dash of authenticity, there’s even a band called The Crawdaddies playing live zydeco music whilst you feast. You also get a free drink on arrival, which is a chance to taste Gosnell’s unique hazy nectars - a delicious honey-based drink similar to cider. As someone who has spent a bit too much time watching crayfish boil tiktoks, I’m very glad I didn’t have to go all the way to America to try one. I absolutely loved it. Crayfish are very similar to lobster, but much smaller with sweeter meat. That cajun spice mix definitely has a kick to it, so the watermelon for dessert was very welcomed.
