This is the longest Highway 1 closure in history after the Regent’s Slide closed the highway in January 2023 after a massive storm. The reopening is going to be amazing to finally get to fully enjoy Big Sur and the small businesses along the 1 that have been suffering through this closure. Massive tanks, incredible conservation efforts and a world class facility make this wonderful aquarium a must see! 😎 The aquarium is very good for teaching children about sea life and incorporating the ocean into a viable conservation effort that almost no other facility on earth has achieved before. 🌎 This is great to add to a Big Sur trip or if you just plan on going just for the aquarium. It’s my favorite aquarium in the world and I always love when I get the chance to visit! 💙

Send this to a friend who’s coming with you! 😎 In San Francisco at Golden Gate Park is one of the coolest museums I have ever been to: Indoor Rainforest, planetarium, aquarium, earthquake simulator, butterflies and a living roof are some of the highlights of this beautiful place. 🌲 Go during a weekday while kids are in school to avoid big crowds and make sure you get the annual pass to save on admission as you go throughout the year. You won’t regret checking out this museum and you’ll want to go back many times in the future! 💙

  1. more information and details 👇✨ When I was trying to figure out the best way to get from SLC to Reno, @quingable recommended I take the train! I honestly forget this exists half the time because the few times I do look, it’s usually $. This time around, the price of a private room with a lay flat bed was going to be cheaper than flying and the timing lined up way better! Plus since it’s overnight, it doubled as my accommodation + transportation. This is an Amtrak train and I booked my ticket on their website. The price of my room was $219 and that included my bags and breakfast. I brought a 30L backpack and my snowboard bag. Even though the room I had was able to fit two people, you would definitely be squished. There are larger rooms available as well for more $. Overall, I found it to be worth it! It was a fun experience, I didn’t have to drive, and I didn’t have to worry about flying with my board bag. I did end up booking Coach for the return train from CA > Utah and documented that experience as well :) I have take coach before from NE to Chicago years ago as well! #solofemaletraveler #amtrack #lifeontheroad #sleepertrain

I have never been so scared in my entire life! 😭 ➡️ Send this to someone who needs a good laugh. 😂 So I was staying at an Airbnb 🏡 and the owner left me free tickets 🎟️ to a local Christmas light show in an envelope. I thought, oh fun, I love Christmas lights… let’s go!!! 🎅✨🎶 l didn’t do any research before heading out… it’s just Christmas lights, right? 🎄😅 I start driving through 🚗🎄, filming cute content for about five minutes 🎥✨, vibing out to Christmas music 💫 Then all of a sudden I take a turn and I’m on a DARK, deserted dirt road 🌑😳 No cars. No more Christmas lights. Nothing. My stomach DROPPED 😭💀 Next thing I know… I start seeing LIVE animals 🦌🐐😳 Like fully exotic animals staring at my car. I knew there was an animal park nearby, so I genuinely thought I had accidentally driven into some restricted back road or farm area I was NOT supposed to be in 🚫🌾. I was completely alone, totally confused, and absolutely terrified!! Nobody told me anything about animals and I personally did not see any signs. No warning. No food to feed the animals 🫠 Just me… my car… and animals surrounding me in the pitch dark 😭💀 I almost had a heart attack!!! As I kept driving (trying to find a way out 😅), I went through MORE animals 🐾🐾… and then suddenly MORE Christmas lights 🎄✨ Come to find out later — the animals are actually part of the experience 😳 WHICH would be totally MAGICAL… if you know ahead of time!!! 😂✨ For families, this would be such a fun and unforgettable night 🎄❤️. For me? I was completely caught off guard and truly traumatized for life 💀😂 I had my phone filming the lights, so everything you’re seeing is my real, raw, unfiltered fear!!! No looking across oncoming or stopped traffic. Also no looking through crowds of people like in Yosemite. Plus it actually continues on as a REALLY scenic drive instead of just being one view point and done 😍 Zion - Mt. Carmel Highway (east entrance) to Zion National Park 📍 This route will take you through the Zion -Mt. Carmel Tunnel and give you what’s easily one of the greatest tunnel reveals in the world 🌎 This tunnel was built in 1930 to create a more direct route between Zion National Park & Bryce Canyon National Park. The tunnel is just over a mile long and really a unique experience to drive through ⚒️ As INCREDIBLE as this entrance to the park is… most of the things you will want to see and do will be at the South Entrance. The super cute town of Springdale (right outside of the entrance) should absolutely not be missed!
