Hop on the train from Interlaken and prepare for stunning glacier views. Don’t miss the Ice Palace at the summit! 🏔️ Grindelwald First This adventure hotspot is a must! Walk the First Cliff Walk, hike to Bachalpsee (4.3 miles, 800 ft elevation gain), and if you’re feeling daring, take the zipline down! 🍃Mürren The most picturesque alpine village. Stroll through its charming streets, take a cable car up to Allmendhubel for panoramic views, and try the Flower Trail hike for a relaxing experience. 🏞️ Interlaken The gateway to Berner Oberland. Don’t skip a cruise on Lake Thun or Lake Brienz. For a unique perspective, hike Harder Kulm for breathtaking sunset views. 💎 Oeschinensee One of the things on my bucket list that I missed on my last trip (due to some complications) 😭 ! It’s a huge continent with so much to offer. #visiteuropepartner I get it, if you are visiting Europe for the first time, I know it is tempting to stick to the hot spots, but trust me when I tell you that the hidden gems unlock unexpected stories and experiences you’ll never forget! 🏔️What activities are there to do? Imagine telling your family about white water rafting in Slovenia’s Soča Valley, hiking beside waterfalls cascading into Croatia’s Plitvice Lakes, taking a carriage ride through Vienna with St. Stephen’s Cathedral towering above! 🥘How is the food? There are incredible food options in Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia. I was very impressed with the local cuisine, farm-to-table options, and fine dining! Not to mention, this is easily the best region I’ve found for coffee in Europe. 💸Is it expensive? Prices on this European road trip are much more affordable compared to what you’ll find in the hot spots. Of course, there is a range depending on the experience you want, but I think you’ll find that your budget stretches much further here which makes it a great place to have a longer or a more luxurious vacation! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒Is it crowded? This was one of my favorite things about this trip! In so many areas it felt like we had the place to ourselves. This was especially true because we went in shoulder season. The towns and regions we visited felt authentic; the tourists that we did encounter were mostly from neighboring European countries! (I like to toss in a small piece of beef jumbo cube if it needs a little extra flavor.) ⸻ Instructions Step 1: Wash the beef chunks with lime, rinse, and pat dry. In a large bowl, season the beef with all the marinade ingredients. Mix well, cover, and marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, for deeper flavor. Step 2: Heat a large pot over medium heat and add olive oil. Stir in 1 teaspoon of sugar and let it caramelize until golden brown. Add the marinated beef chunks to the pot and sear on all sides until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Step 3: Pour 2 cups of water into the pot (using the same bowl the beef was marinated in to scrape up extra seasoning). Stir well and bring to a simmer. Cover and let the beef cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Step 4: After the beef has cooked for a bit, stir in the tomato paste until fully combined. Then, add the sliced onions, peppers, carrots, petite potatoes, and fresh cilantro. Stir well, cover, and lower the heat to medium-low. Let the stew simmer for another 30-40 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through. Step 5: Serve hot with white rice, sweet plantains, and avocado slices. ❤️

Loaded with juicy jerk chicken, curry goat, meaty oxtail with lots of gravy, white rice and rice and peas, plantains —Chefs kiss!! Aside from the food and drinks being bangers The hospitality here is unmatched. They deserve all the roses because each time I’ve visited the quality of the food has remained consistent. It was a SO good went two times in the past month and I’m ready to make my 3rd reservation to check out the brunch menu. If you know, this was once Imani’s and is now they’re a new Afro Caribbean restaurant inside a Brownstown, led by chef London who deserves his flowers because, the menu goes crazy 🔥. 📍 Mango Bay / 271 Adelphi Street, Brooklyn, New York City ✨ The Goat Puff Pastry ✨ Braised Oxtail ✨ Peppa Shrimp ✨ Ras and Pasta ✨ Mango Puff Pastry is a must! It comes with a nice presentation where they shower the puff with curry sauce. The puff was flakey too. We quickly put that away before my drink arrived. The cocktail menu is top notch and regardless if you’re an alcohol drinker or not, the menu is well thought out and delicious. Yes, this is an Oxtail Stan account and I approve of their juicy tender oxtail!!! I can’t recommend them enough! Check them out ❤️

At the beginning of the Summer Garrett challenged Cali to learn to read and promised him a mega prize if he learned before our return home to Hawaii where Cali will begin Kindergarten. Garrett committed to working with him every day to do letter flashcards to practice sounds and then start sounding out 3 letter words! 🥰 You may be shocked if you watch our next Sunday video and see what the mega prize is. 😳 I was surely shocked and told Garrett “No way!
