  1. The hardest thing I’ll ever share! Because yes I am embarrassed, sad and angry that I let myself get to this level of self hatred, sadness, anger and size! Totally abusing my body with food, constantly punishing myself for being unhealthy by being even worse!! It’s a vicious cycle and so many can resonate with that! Yes I took a different route for weight loss one which many don’t agree with, but it wasn’t for lack of trying it all, and mentally I just couldn’t do it any longer. So after alot of agonising over this decision I decided to do it! After some research and consultation with @getsliminturkey I finally changed my life! And it’s the best decision I have ever made! I’m so grateful for every single day and every day of feeling so much better. And I appreciate everything so much, I’ve always been blessed with what I have I just didn’t see it for a while! “Once you start appreciating life, that’s when you realise how much you truly have to live for” Whilst I always loved being active I now absolutely love it!! Yes I hiked mountains the size I was last year, I never gave up, I used to be 76 shades of purple in the face for gasping 🤣 but I never gave up, I am actually proud of that! But perhaps maybe trying to prove something to others, whereas now I’m only trying to prove things to myself! 🤍 This isn’t a post looking for compliments, this is a post to every single person who struggles with their weight/fitness/confidence that you can take control, you can change things for yourself. You’re worth putting the effort in, you’re worth the work, you’re worth keeping yourself healthy for a long time! “True wealth is having your health and knowledge of self” Benjamin Franklin #lifechanging #healthier #weightloss #buildingconfidence #gastricsleeve #bariatricsurgery #getsliminturkey #fitter #stronger #lovinglife #appreciation

  3. 🗽🍎 New York Trip Costs💰💰💰 The number one question about our New York trip was about cost - so I’ve broken it down below. REMEMBER Prices will vary depending on the time of year you go. We travelled the 13th February 2024 for 5 nights. Costs we spent in euro are listed in euro, costs we spent in dollars are listed in dollars, as rates will vary. ✈️Flights: We flew Aer Lingus from Shannon and booked 2 months before we flew. Prices vary wildly, flying direct saves a lot of time as you go through preclearance for US immigration in Dublin/Shannon Cost: €475, including 5 x 10kg cabin bags which are free, and one paid for 25kg bag. 🏨Hotel $100 per person per night. We took 2 rooms @ $250 per night each had 2 double beds) Hotels require refundable security deposits on check in - ours was $50 per room per night. Rooms are small. 🍕FOOD 🍔🍟 Food $70/75 per person day We ate at diners and fast food outlets. 🥯Food breakfast $12 - $15 gets filled bagel and juice or coffee including tax and tip. For a diner breakfast allow $20 🍔Lunch $15 -$20 for fast food lunch per person 🍴Dinner $30 for main and drink and 20% tip ☕️🍩 Coffee/drinks/donuts/snacks $15 Sample costs: Slurpee $3 (7/11) Coffee $4 Water varies wildly even in supermarkets Share pack of crisps $5 Attractions all per person: 🌆Empire State Building $100 per person Natural History Museum $20 🏀 Madison Square Garden Tour booked the week before $45 per person 🏒Hockey Game tickets $45 per person 🎭Broadway show $79 per ticket bought at box office morning of Taylor Swift exhibit at Museum of Art & Design $25 Metro card $35 Transfer $30 per person (prebooked private transfer JFK to Manhattan, there are cheaper ways to do this but the private transfer was what we wanted) #newyork #newyorkcity #newyorktourist #visitnewyork #nyctouristtips #familytravel #lovetravel #nyc #visitnyc #nyconabudget #nyctourist #nyc2024 #nycwithfamily

  2. Yesterday marked Two weeks of Willow ♥️ It’s been a fast two weeks but also feels like she’s been here for months already. She’s been such an ‘easy’ baby really, unlike the others who all had reflux and would projectile vomit their milk everywhere, she’s hardly had a spit ups! I wonder is it down to the shorter birth.. who knows 🤷‍♀️ Lots have been asking ‘how are you feeling?’ And honestly I’ve been great most of the time, I obviously get those days of extreme tiredness where I feel like I’m running on fumes and could cry with tiredness at any moment.. and then two nights I hit the wall with that tiredness and just needed to cry it out.. and again yesterday morning, I just felt worn out.. but then, just like that, the sun came out! I had the house to myself for the afternoon with just willow, I got a nap in, left the house properly for the first time to see the PHN and it was EXACTLY what I needed!! I really just wanted to share that while the newborn bubble is literally the most magical time ever.. it’s also exhausting, can come with lots of hormonal highs and lows, one day you might feel on top of the world and the next you could be crying into your pillow wondering will the baby ever sleep.. totally normal I think! Motherhood is exhausting! I think the most important thing I’ve learned from these wonderful babies is just how important it is to talk to my husband when I feel like this, no point keeping it to myself, especially when I know that something like a nap, a long shower or just a rest without holding baby is all I need. I feel I’ve been so lucky to never suffer with low mood or PND after any of the births, but still the tears will come, and they need to be talked about - think about the hormonal rollercoaster your body is on.. its inevitable to feel a bit all over the place. Today was also the first day I got properly dressed and my god did I forget how hard it is to dress your postpartum body!! 🤣😳 took me 45mins to choose a jumper and pants to wear!! So on that note... any words of wisdom as to what I could buy for these early months when my body is not quite my body, while maternity doesn’t fit anymore but neither do my regular clothes?

  3. My whole world all in one spot ♥️😭 we’ve had the best week with little willow joining the gang, she’s been smothered with hugs and kisses, she could not be more loved! Lots of people were asking how James has been dealing with her arrival as he’s just 20months.. and to our surprise really, he’s taken it all in his stride! No major tantrums, just wants to hold her and kiss her.. he’s been incredible with her. Then there’s the biggest lady, she’s not 6 until July, and has had to invite 3 babies into her home in her few short years.. and the other big lady, well, she’s taking it all in her stride too. Im so impressed with them and the love they’ve shown willow AND their patience with us. When a new baby comes into the home and other kids are still small, it COULD be quite stressful. But what we’ve learned each time is the less pressure you put on them to ‘bond’ with their new baby, the less stressful it is. Keeping routine for them as much as possible is also really important. So the last few days I’ve timed doing homework with cayla when willow naps - that way she still gets that time with me. Bedtime routine is usually me doing stories with the girls, so I’ve managed a couple of nights doing stories in our bed with willow beside us and the girls LOVE it. There’s definitely been more ‘treats’ since willow arrived.. the odd cookie, a Capri sun, a bun, some chocolate.. little treats to say thanks to them for being so good and thanks for being so understanding that mummy and daddy might be tired, busy with willow and James.. I remember when Evie was born and before hand being panicked how id entertain cayla.. but actually you just find a rhythm! Things we’ve found helpful this week: Sticker books Colouring LOTS of outdoor play with @livinbytheshorewithfour Paw patrol 🤣👌🏻 - a couple of episodes and then they go off playing with their paw patrol toys for hours after! @jiminy.ie @stabilouk 3 in 1 colouring pencils - it’s all they’re using!! Music, lots of music for setting the mood! Giving them all time to snuggle with willow each day. Most importantly... we’re doing our best. That’s all you can do right.
