  1. @justinpasutto It is with absolute broken hearts that we share our best friend Nacho has died. The MRI revealed a large inoperable tumor in his brain & Nacho had declined too far to explore radiation. His days were numbered & we knew we had to get him home. On late Thursday, we drove through the night from Vancouver to Kelowna … just the three of us, like how our little family story had started 11 years ago. We were trying to get Nacho home to say goodbye to the kids & Peaches. Live out his last days in his favourite place. Nacho passed away with his head on Jills lap & Justin’s hand on his back, an hour away from home at 4am. It was one of the scariest & heartbreaking but beautiful moments. He let out his last big sigh (something he did often and we loved) & said goodbye. Our hearts will never be the same & The last few days have been crushing. Nacho was much more than just a dog. He was a pup from Mexico with all the odds against him, a runt of the litter saved by Justin’s brother & delivered to us in July 2014. We had no idea what that gift delivered was going to bring us. From the streets of Mexico to Canada, to billboards in New York, to being featured on The Ellen Show, magazine covers, local TVs shows, his own instagram account, he amassed hundreds of millions of friends, we didn’t just love Nacho the world loved Nacho. He even went viral again just this final week of his life. For the last 11 years, he has been through those beautiful formative milestones of our family. Starting a family, helping raise our babies with love & play, adopting Peaches…our new life at the farm… He was woven into the fabric of who we are as a family. Nacho brought us so much joy, love & happiness and we are so overwhelmed with the thought of not seeing him again. He slept in our beds, he sat beside us while we worked all day. He travelled with us. He sat right by our feet in the kitchen. Despite tripping over him over and over, we knew there would come a day that we would miss it & that day has come. He had a heart as big as the world, His love was so strong. Everyone who met Nacho could feel it. His paws smelled like nachos He was our best friend. 💔

  1. Today’s recipe video is a Kimchi Udon Carbonara! Spicy, chewy, creamy, savory...just so good. It’s super easy to make (done in less than 30 minutes total), and has everything you need for a one plate meal. . . . Tips: -Make it even spicier by adding more gochugaru, if that’s what you’re about -Skip the pork belly to make it vegetarian (it’ll be just as good!). If you do skip it, you can add a bit more onion, garlic and olive oil for a bit more flavor . . . Ingredients: -Udon noodles, pork belly, kimchi gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, onion, garlic, scallions, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg . . . Instructions: -In a bowl, mix 1 tbsp gochujang, 2 tsp gochugaru, 2 tsp memmi or soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, black pepper, and 1 tbsp water. -Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add in 2 packs of udon noodles, cook for ~2 mins, and then drain and rinse the noodles over cold water. If you’re good at multitasking do this while also tackling the next step. If not, it’s okay to just do this sequentially. -In a pan, add about ~1 tsp of olive oil. Add 2 pork bellies, and mostly cook them. When they are almost done, cut them up with food scissors. -Add 1/3 of an onion chopped and 4 garlic cloves sliced. Cook ~30 seconds until garlic is lightly browned. -Add 1 cup of kimchi, and cook until kimchi is lightly carmelized. Then add in the premixed sauce and mix everything up together. -Add in the 2 packs of cooked udon noodles, then turn off the heat and mix the noodles up with everything until the noodles are well coated. Add 1-2 scallions chopped, an egg yolk, a handful of parmesan cheese and a handful of mozzarella cheese (this should melt by itself with residual heat). Mix in the egg yolk and enjoy!

  1. November 1st is a very SPECIAL DAY here on the farm! ✨✨✨ ____________ It is the VERY FIRST DAY we close our doors to the public, after a month and a half of opening for a one of a kind, hands on educational farm learning experience 🎃 It is ALSO…THE VERY FIRST DAY all the large farm animals are let back out to graze in the fields!! 🐮🐴🐷 40 acres of ALL YOU CAN EAT pumpkin, corn, & barley buffet 🎃 🌽 🌾. Wahoo!!!! 🍾 __________ It is an incredibly heartwarming moment to watch - everyone racing back to the forest + fields to play, feast, & lounge with all their friends 🤍❤️🤍 Here are a few interesting facts about the animals! 🐴 Timing! It will take them about a month to eat all the remaining produce in the fields. Perfect timing to plump up for the colder winter months! 🐷 Picky Eaters! Everyone prefers to eat the insides of the pumpkins first. After all the inside guts are finished off, then they will go back to eat the outer shells! 🐮 Double Wammy! Having the animals out in the fields is beneficial in many ways. It gives the animals great nutrition while also giving the fields some well needed nutrition. As they walk around and eat they also have to poop. This spreads manure on the fields! They also root and dig around with their noses & hooves. This aerates the fields! 🐥 Training! Farmer Albert has the animals trained to come up to the barns at night. He has a special call for them & they come a running to his voice & call. They love him!

  3. I don’t even know where to begin—I’m truly at a loss for words because this may be the hardest thing I’ve ever faced. Tenisha and I were best friends before anything else. She was a very private person, but if you were fortunate enough to be in her circle, she would do anything for you. She guided me through so many stages of life, always there with support and advice. Tenisha’s smile and personality could light up any room. She was warm, approachable, and had this genuine quality, but she could also be real and firm when needed. Like any relationship, we had our ups and downs, but one thing we never missed on was the joy of bringing our son, Chase, into this world. We had this pact to give Chase the greatest life we could imagine. I know you see a lot of photos of me and him, but make no mistake—he was absolutely a mama’s boy. You didn’t play when it came to him. You were always on top of things, from making sure we got to his activities on time, to keeping up with his schoolwork, and, most importantly, giving him endless love. I could go on forever, but the truth is that life will never be the same without you here. Chase and I will miss you deeply every day. We love you, and we’ll honor you in everything we do. Though you’re not here physically, you will always be in our hearts. I promise to raise Chase to become the strong young man we dreamed he would be—in memory of you. Forever 10. Go fund me link in bio Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference our lives. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page or leaving a message of support. Love always

  2. When we first looked at this house and walked into this room all I could see was a crib in front of the window. A darling pendant light hanging down. The east facing window letting in the morning sun only to have it dance on tiny toes. It’s been a quiet journey, because truthfully I’m not quite sure where we belong. We have the boys. Two incredible, hilarious, joy-filled little boys. Adoption to bring Sul to us and the biggest surprise pregnancy with Flynn. But it doesn’t feel complete. And I have been there before. Wondering if I would ever be a mother. The thing I have longed for most in my life. Irony never lost that turns out becoming one is something my body fails at even though my mind is so clear. So I have walked the road before and now I walk it again. In a different life, really. But still so much of the same- Hundreds of needles, of appointments, a laundry list of medications that make me feel nothing like myself. Injections while shooting weddings, at kids’ sports, in parking lots. A body that no longer feels like my own. And most recently, the devastation of a failed ivf transfer. All alongside the deep gratefulness that we even get to try. The gratefulness for a partner who has been to every single appointment, who has brushed my tears and held my hand and laughed with me at every inappropriate joke (and trust me, there are a lot when strangers are all up in there every week). I don’t know a lot about what happens before or after life. But I like to think you’re somewhere with your grandma. And she’s doting on you just like she did with your brothers, and maybe she’s not quite ready to let you go yet. But when she is, here you will be. Tall and athletic and kind to your core like your daddy. Creative and deep like your mama. Wild and confident and adventurous like your brothers. And we will see you, with the sun dancing across your room, and say “there you are” #infertility #ivfjourney
