  1. Every Gaelic goalkeeper needs to do this to truly appreciate covering angles. For me, an angle isn’t truly covered if it relies on a dive to save. It comes down to body position, balance, and geometry. Bear with me. If you have to dive to cover an angle, that’s what I’d call reactive goalkeeping — you’ve added an extra job on top of the save itself. If you have the angle covered, you only have to make the save. One less problem to solve. In Gaelic football specifically, a diving keeper is a grounded keeper 🧤 An upright, balanced keeper can still deal with the shot and cover the threat of a handpass across the box ⚡ Watch how many times county keepers dive this weekend 👀 versus the ones who drive out on their angles and force the handpass 👍 #gaelicfootball #goalkeeping #goalkeepingcoach #goalkeeper
    104.3k
  2. The best goalkeeping tip I can give is grounded in geometry. 📐 Every shot you’ll ever face is kicked from the tip of a triangle. From a physics and geometry perspective, your job isn’t to cover the whole goal. It’s to reduce the amount of goal the kicker can see. ⚖️If you stay on your line the triangle is huge 🏃But drive out to the right sweet spot and the triangle shrinks 🧤 Now you only have to react and save 🚫 You don’t have to athletically dive across and cover impossible distances!! That’s the mistake many keepers make. They stay on the line and actually ask their athleticism to solve a positioning problem. So get to a position where you can comfortably reach the sides of the triangle and suddenly the save becomes much simpler. Best of luck and pls share if these tips help. Let me know in the comments if you’ve any topic you would like me to cover. 👍 #GaelicFootball #GaelicGoalkeeper #GoalkeepingCoach #Goalkeeper

  1. The last photo I took at @theengineblockdublin and the still incredibly unbelievable aftermath that followed in the hours since. @dave_driftgames, myself and the entire @driftgames.life team are just distraught at what has happened in the past 28-30 hours. Not only for ourselves but for all of our friends in @deanemotorsdublin @jcautocare @motorzonehq and @franklin_motorcycles. This is honestly not something any of us could ever have imagined having to comprehend and it still doesn’t feel real. Right now it’s incredibly tough, but as always our team will pull through, we will fight back and we will continue our mission. Drift Games will never give up. #driftgames

  3. It's just over two weeks now since my life changed forever In the greatest way possible . Archie and Kobie came into this world on the 8th of May 2024 and made me the happiest man on the planet . I have always listened to people talking about how great it is to have kids and so on and so fourth , but until you experience it yourself you can never truly understand it . The instant love you feel seeing their little faces , the sense of overwhelming happiness and fulfilment you feel as you hold them for the first time . This truly is a feeling in my eyes that will never be matched . ❤️ I'm so so proud of my wonderful partner @louise.fitzpatrick.98 for giving me the best gift in the world in these two beautiful boys . You will never truly understand how much it means to me . She has had such a tough time post pregnancy but I finally got her home today where she belongs with her boys . You are a soldier Louise and so much stronger than you give yourself credit for . I love you so much ! 😍 I would like to thank all of the midwives at the rotunda hospital who cared for the boys and more importantly Louise over the last few weeks . Your kindness ,compassion and reassurances really helped us stay calm and relaxed through a very tough time . 🫶 Thank you !! A big shout out to @labouroflovenadia , after doing your course it helped us to stay in control through the whole of the labour process, we managed to stay as calm as possible using several breathing techniques and massage which kept us in a great zone . Thank you so much !! Finally to all of my and Louise's family who have went above and beyond to help over the last few weeks with the boys while mammy was unwell . You truly are the best bunch and we love you deeply ❤️ Time to start our life as a family now 💙🤍 Cian,Louise,Kobie and Archie 💕 #family #babies #twins
