The other day the sweetest little lady came running up to us and said, “can I play with you guys” To which I responded, “go ask your mom if it’s ok” as I looked towards her mother watching the interaction. A few minutes later she came running back excited to learn. We spent time showing her some of the movement, helping her lift the kettlebell, and sent her on her way knowing that she can be as strong as she wants to be in life! A simple candid moment that humbled and reminded me that we are all in this together. And a small moment of kindness and support could be a pivotal moment in someone’s life.   2. I know this topic is uncomfortable for a lot of people but it remains our number one asked question in our DM’s - autism and periods. It’s so important to have these conversations because parents are terrified for their special needs daughter to start her period - I know I was! The week before (PMS week) is a lot of emotional highs/lows and behaviors we usually don’t see from Presley (it’s usually a rough week at school) and then the next week is a lot of creating peace in our home, proper rest, and nutrition. It’s been a learning journey for my husband and I but we get better every month at handling all the things during this time of the month - and you will too! 🥰🥰 A few things that helped us: - talk to your doctor about different options - some families choose to go the birth control route to eliminate periods (do what you need to do - no judgement) - period underwear - disposable period underwear - a bidet for your toilet - a loofah with a LONG handle to help with washing - I had to learn Presley would get headaches and cramps before she could tell us - so I made sure to have liquid ibuprofen on hand. - chocolate - duh! - a weighted heating pad to rest on the stomach - a hot shower in the morning and a hot Epsom salt bath at night I hope this helps! What can seem scary will become your new normal and you will ROCK it! You got this mom and dad! 💜💜💜💜💜

The last player with a post-it wins. Balloon Toss Towers - Each player tries to build a 6 cup tower while simultaneously keeping the balloon in the air. If the balloon drops, you start over. First person to make the tower and get all cups back to how they originally started wins. Caterpillar Crawl Races- Divide into teams and have half the players from each team on opposite sides of the room. Must keep arms inside sleeping bag and wiggle to teammates on opposite side, who then get in and go back- first team down and back with all players taking a turn wins. Plate Pull- Plates are attached by strings to a cup, with the opposite ends of the string pulled through the end of a cup. Each player pulls a string and gets the prize on the plate. Extra fun if you include some wonky prizes. Tic Tac Toe Relay - First three players take turns placing game piece on the board trying to get three in a row. Each player after then moves game piece until they have a tic tac toe. Socks are a must. #partygames #youthgroupgames #gamenight #familygames #teenparty
