  2. 💓💓💓 I had a small amount of time to do my makeup yesterday and after seeing Lisa Eldridge use her Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow in the shade Anais in her latest Reel I decided to use that as it’s the perfect one and done eyeshadow. I paired it with Velvet Pompadour which I used on my lips and also on my cheeks mixed with Elevated Glow Highlighter in Pink Moon. This is another tip I learned from watching Lisa’s videos and it’s such a great time saver as it means you don’t have to think about blush and you’re using less products. I’ve worn Pompadour on my cheeks before but mixing it with Pink Moon was such a nice touch instead of applying them separately. If you don’t use liquid highlighter you could just pat the lipstick onto your cheeks. I love that this look was so quick to do, the eyeshadow can be applied with the applicator and blended with one brush which again cuts down on time. I like to apply it in thin layers. You could add a matte shade if you wanted to create more dimension but I like the ease and effortlessness of a one and done shade. Pompadour is such a beautiful shade, after I first posted a look using it a few months ago I had so many messages from people saying they bought it (including my sister). It’s hard to get this kind of pink right and have it look chic and not dated but of course, Lisa Eldridge has nailed it! Have you tried any of these products? @lisaeldridgemakeup Liquid Lurex (Anais), Elevated Glow Highlighter (Pink Moon), True Velvet Lip Colour (Velvet Pompadour), Skin and Makeup Enhancing Mist, Seamless Blend Brush No. 9 @surratt Relevée Eyelash Curler @lancomeofficial *Lash Idôle Mascara @givenchybeauty Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Concealer (N95) @lauramercier *Translucent Loose Setting Powder *PR Samples Earrings: @cosstores Ring: @coucousuzette

  3. 4 years ago we lost our son Milo at 18 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy as the sun was coming up and the world was shutting down. It’s been 4 years since I held him, kissed him, sang to him, held his hand. Time is both a blessing and a curse. The further I am from that day the more my memories lose their vibrancy. Certain aspects are seared in my mind, others I have to really think about to fully remember. The light in the room, the purple chair, the bare trees outside the window, the midwives eyes as they tried to convey their sympathy through layers of PPE. I can taste the lunch they gave us, I wondered if all the women who had just given birth were eating the same food. I thought about the poor ambulance men who had come to our apartment that morning and taken our son out of the bathroom, how incredibly difficult that job must be. I thought about the women that knit Milo’s little hat and jumper, I wondered if they had ever been through loss. I remember the red sweatshirt I was wearing. It sits folded in my wardrobe, I can’t bring myself to get rid of it but I can’t wear it either. Shortly afterwards I threw away the pyjamas I was wearing when it happened. When we got home that evening Simon made me some toast with peanut butter and banana, a pregnancy craving. I remember showering when I got home. Placing my hands on my empty abdomen and sobbing silently, wishing I could scream but it wouldn’t come out. Feeling such anger at my body that had betrayed me. My mental health deteriorated over the past 4 years and last November after experiencing physical effects of my nervous system being under a lot of stress, I finally got some help and started medication. I have plans to finally try counselling, something I’ve known I need to do but didn’t feel strong enough. I feel vulnerable sharing this but I’ve shared so much of my journey with pregnancy loss, grief and trauma that I thought it was important to share this too. Anyone who lives with grief or trauma, ask for help if you need it. It’s hard to see the good in life with how things are for many people in the world right now but I keep trying to find the beauty and embrace joy to honour my wonderful son.
