  2. The hardest few days and so grateful to be out the other side. 🤍 I wanted to share this little snippet that David took because sometimes it’s easy to compare yourself to people online and feel like they’re sailing through motherhood, completely unphased. The truth is the past few months have been the hardest I’ve ever found motherhood, especially the past few weeks between sleep deprivation and never ending sicknesses🫩 I know the constant feeling of guilt already hangs heavy over us mums, but this day it felt on another level. I had been awake for two days straight and went home to shower, eat, get some sleep, and see Sydney…. I missed her terribly. But then the whole time I was home I felt horrendous and just wanted to get back to see Myles. When I returned to the hospital with food and coffees and saw Myles feeling better and smiling back at me, I just broke down. 💔 There is nothing more painful than seeing your baby sick and the relief I felt was immense. Nothing else in this world matters other than your babies being safe and well. I know there are plenty of mums out there who will relate to the constant pang of guilt… the feeling that you’re not enough….. especially working mums and business owners who have to keep the show on the road, both professionally and personally. This is your reminder that you are enough, we’re all in this together, we are all doing our best and we all need to be a little kinder to ourselves. Once again thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the incredible staff in Temple St children’s hospital 🤍 Bring on all of the good times ahead 🤍

  1. Ollie sent me this video last night and to be honest i found it really hard to watch ❌ He hugged me tight afterwards as I cried for our beautiful kind courageous girl & the massive void she has left in our lives. I cried because she should be hopping off the school bus every day telling me all her news & how she wants to go shopping with her friends at christmas. She may even tell me about her school crush or that they are doing Christmas carols in school. I cried at how unfair it is that this is life now, how lonely we feel without her & that Christmas will forever more be different. She should be here so we can shower her with gifts & hugs. She should be here to have fun & be excited with her little sister together. Instead Farrah Rose walks a very lonely path also feeling the pain of not having her sister present. This video is precious. Her last Christmas 💔 Me & my two beautiful girls on Christmas morning. Saoírse surprised me with a present. The thought that went into it was so special that you’d nearly wonder was there a part of her that knew her time was short. She used her own money from her little junior account & she plotted it all so well with Ollie the little pet 🥹. What these two girls don’t know is that this is their last Christmas together, Christmas 2023 This is the last Christmas hug between two girls & their mummy, but we knew 💔 We held each other tight as any parents could & we gave them the best Christmas we could. We pulled out all the stops, matching pyjamas, Christmas crackers, Christmas lights that could be mistaken for the Dublin Airport runway, presents, movies, hot chocolates & most importantly cuddles snuggles and lots & lots of memory making 📸 When I say it’s REALLY NOT about the presents, it’s about who is PRESENT! It really is Christmas 2023 - The last time we sat into our table for Christmas dinner as a family of 4 💔 Please take it from someone who feels the horrendous pain Christmas can bring, check in on those who have lost someone, especially in the last 12months. You really have no idea how lonely it is. I always speak from my heart to help others! #lonely #grief #christmas #loss #childhoodcancer

  2. So, here’s the thing: for a while now, I’ve been toying with making a change in my work life. I’ve been ebbing and flowing, waxing and waning. Waiting, mostly. Waiting for it to feel right and waiting to see a way - a route to take. I’ve spent almost two years as Head of Content in Kildare Village. I have worked over everything content, creative, social media, strategies, concepts and a million little tiny things in the background that are never really seen. It’s been a journey of joining dots, of ideas, of connections, of creative collaborations and of being a part of a big team of wonderful humans, who I’ve enjoyed so much being alongside. And I even got used to the (long) commute! But then, after a while, my kids missed me and I missed them. I was quite mentally absent, tired and distracted. I was wiped out on the weekends, feeling brain and bone tired, just wanting to rest. And I started to notice I was disappearing from my life, I felt a bit like a shadow. The house and the people in it whom I love became accustomed to their routines, we carried on as ships in the night - me yelling out ‘bye kids’ as I left in the morning - so early - first out, last back. Awake for one hour after I got home each night, sometimes less. A presence, but not present. And I just didn’t like that. So I made a few decisions. I decided to leave my job. Yes, for the second time in my life, I am leaving ‘the good job with the good salary’! I am leaving the commute, the busyness of a big role in a big company with the health insurance and the pension and the annual flu jab. Instead, I am going to work as I have done before: as a consultant in content, comms and creative strategy. I am a storyteller in words and pictures. I create concepts and projects, I launch products, build brands and support visions. And I’m doing that soon, beginning in June, with a wonderful client, and her wonderful business. I’ll be back in the beauty and wellbeing space I love. There’s so more to come too! I’m excited. And calm. And grateful AF. Life is for living. And I’ve decided to do just that. More to follow, so much more… Big love for new beginnings! 💫

  3. ♥️ He was the best ♥️ Hugh Scully was my beloved friend for 30 years. When we became pals, something clicked into place and since then, right up to now, the day after he left us, I adore him. I always will. Hugh was my biggest cheerleader. He was always, always interested in my life. He wanted only the best for me, and me for him. We spent hours and hours (over years and years) laughing, talking, dancing, going on holidays and mad weekends away, working together in his company Blue PR, dancing on dance floors, backstage at gigs, at endless festivals, behind DJ boxes, plotting new business ideas, eating great food, watching movies, talking on the phone and always, always listening to music… He loved my family, and I love his. He brought so much joy into my life and I am forever grateful to him for the great gift his life was (and will always be). Some scattered memories running through my mind today… We were together at 9/11 when the towers fell - and we stayed together all day to mind each other (and drink some beers). We worked together on artist liaison at a bananas Beyoncé gig and we laughed about it for years. We were often the last two to go to bed after a party, often found in the kitchen playing the saucepan drums to Phil Collins ‘I can feel it coming in the air tonight’ whilst drinking amaretto and ice - at 8am. There are too many tracks to mention that remind me of him, and I cherish them all. Lovely Day by Bill Withers, all of U2.. I remember one night, we stayed up late in his IFSC apartment (where I was a weekly weekend sofa camper) and we played The Kaiser Chiefs ‘I predict a riot’ all night long, then to find out in the morning that there had been riots nearby on O’Connell St! And we thought we had psychically incited them! God, we talked and talked… so much of it pure madness and shite, but all of it honest, and open and warm and gorgeous. Just like him. We’ve lost the brightest light, the most beautiful man… our beloved Blue Boy. Our Hugh. I wish we could have kept him. I miss him. I love him. He was/is the best of the best. Bye for now Scully. His response would be, as it always was… “Love you Lady B” ♥️ 💔♥️💔
