  3. Good News Alert Bengaluru airport T2 is getting inaugurated tomorrow. You know what’s so special? The entire terminal is designed with sustainability factors in mind. The theme of the new terminal is that of a “garden” - so there will be lot of plants, gardens, ponds and even a 3 storey forest inside the terminal. The concept aims to give passengers a natural feel of a garden as they pass through every terminal touchpoint There will also be minimum reliance on artificial illumination, treated water used for the landscape indoor gardens, and this also means that - less dependence on mechanical ACs Why this is a good step? Well its true aviation industry is not a big contributor to India’s overall emissions yet (just 1-3%) at the moment and airports contribute to less than 10% of this. So yeah the role of airports is kinda minimal compared to emissions of the airlines and other transport related emissions related to aviation section (90% emissions) But that doesn’t mean airports shouldn’t take climate action. Also, this airport can also do what changi airport has done to singapore - inspire a lot of young people people about sustainability and technology etc and become a beacon of hope for the city. This is very much needed particularly in a city like bengaluru. BTW, this design is also a tribute to revive bengaluru’s identity as the Garden City of India (YES before the Silicon Valley Tag). I really hope this design and identity gets reflected in all the developmental projects that happens here What’s your view about Bengaluru KIA T2 ? #thesustainabilityguy #sustainability #thesustainabilityguy #reels #reelsinstagram #bengaluru #bengaluruairport

स्टडी का नाम है: "Reducing food's environmental impact through producers and consumers" इस वीडियो में कही गई एक एक बार वैज्ञानिक तथ्यों पर आधारित है।

  3. 🌳Our trees are suffocating—let’s give them space to breathe! 🌳Trees are the lungs of our planet, but we are suffocating them with concrete, banners and wires! 🌍 🌳Did you know that the area around a tree must be deconcretised up to 6x6 feet to allow roots to thrive? 🌳Roots need space to absorb water, nutrients, and oxygen—without which trees weaken, become prone to infections, and eventually die. 🚨 Why is this important? - Concrete restricts water and oxygen flow to the roots, leading to stunted growth and decay. - Wires, banners, and nails damage the bark, making trees vulnerable to diseases. - Healthy trees provide shade, cleaner air, and a sustainable environment for us all. 💡 Did You Know? According to the National Green Tribunal (NGT), choking or harming trees can attract a fine of ₹10,000 per tree in some states (and even more in others). Let’s avoid this penalty by giving trees their rightful space and protection! ✅ How You Can Help: 1. Ensure at least a 6x6 feet area around trees is free from concrete and obstructions. 2. If construction is planned near trees, ensure proper measures are taken to protect their roots and bark. 3. Report choking or damaged trees to local authorities or the NGT. - NGT Helpline: Share details and images of choked trees on their website or email local municipal authorities. - Tag relevant officials in your city on social media and spread awareness! 4. Encourage your community to take action by removing wires, banners, and nails from trees. Let’s stop choking our trees and let them breathe freely. Together, we can make a difference! 🌳💚 Video credit : @newdelhinaturesociety #StopChokingTrees #DeconcretiseTrees #LetTreesBreathe #SaveTheRoots #SustainableEnvironment #EcoEfforts #GreenPlanet #NGTAction #TreeLovers #SaveOurTrees #EnvironmentMatters #UrbanForests #NatureConservation #ProtectTheRoots #EcoWarriors #EnvironmentalAwareness #SustainabilityNow #CleanGreenFuture #UrbanSustainability #ActForTrees Let’s free our trees from suffocation. 3. The inspiration for this film came one day last summer when I heard Sushma sing the song at a small family get together as per someone’s request. I’ve heard the song sung in the traditional Rabindra Sangeeth way, but there was something about her rendition that made me think of my Mom. As I closed my eyes and listened, I felt the pain, beauty, and fragility of time and aging. And change. Through my life, I’ve seen my Mom - who is a force of nature. One of the most passionate and crazy dancers I’ve ever known. Nothing was a limit for her, and now she lives with rheumatoid arthritis, which - for someone whose life IS dance and movement - is shattering. As I move through life myself, more and more I feel convinced that imperfection is honesty and honesty is beauty. I want my mom to realize the beauty in the honesty of her current stage of life as a human AND as a dancer; that her limitations are a source of truth in the same way that I want my daughter Rumi to (one day!) see that what she considers her limitations are also her beautiful truth! And I’ve been working hard to see my imperfections as my beautiful truth. Hopefully seeing it in one another helps us see it in ourselves! To me, this film is about relationships… Intergenerational relationships… And the relationship with our changing self… About taking inspiration from the jasmine flower (mollika) which blooms at night and wilts in the morning....whose fragrance is full whether its blooming on the tree or laying fallen on the ground. About going beyond structures and things that feel like the norm that we feel we have to fit ourselves into, and embracing what truly is. ❤️ A digital stage commission, please view the full film on the Sadlers Wells Digital Stage platform.
