  3. Is Dhuli Dal Bad ? For regular consumption Dhuli Dal is preferred as :- 1) It is much easier to digest , light on gut. 2) It’s take much lesser cooking time. No Dietary Fiber is not the digestive mechanism and not the most important factor for majority of Indian’s , in most cases having too much fiber makes you bloated and irritates the gut. Though most of the anti-nutrients in Lentils are destroyed while soaking and cooking properly , but still most of the people stay bloated when consuming Chilka Dal due to high Fiber content. Conclusion - For Regular Consumption have Dhuli Dal , but on some days definitely you can have Chilka Dal.
