  1. Things you should know about..👇 JAVI ECOCARE (@javi_officials) 🫟In the past 3 years, Javi has incorporated every logical customer feedback into their business, right from choosing plastic-free packing, thickening their toilet cleaner, to replacing their product label with natural ink 🫟 Their cleaners are bioenzyme based and completely non-toxic 🫟With compostable sachets, they leave no trash behind, and encourage the use of useless empty containers accumulating at home COCO CUSTO (@coco.custo) 🥥This was the second time I spilled foundation on my white jacket, just to show you how effectively Coco Custo removed the stain the last time this accidentally happened 🥥It works amazingly to remove stains from fabrics, silicones like menstrual cups and also stained kitchenware 🥥The laundry detergent has a mild refreshing smell with no artifical fragrance. Kinda smells like Glucon-D which brings back memories 🥥Vegan, Cruelty-Free & Skin Safe, Coco-Custo’s ingredients are biodegradable and non-toxic FOREST LAB (@forestlab.in) 🦠They have all certificates to prove that their cleaners are 99.9% effective and SKIN + PET SAFE 🦠I have successfully cleaned my oxidised copper, my scaly bathroom attachments & my coffee stained t-shirt using Forest Lab 🦠They have recently launched their bioenzyme-based air fresheners that don’t contain any artificial fragrance 🦠Post cleaning, they naturally purify our drains when going down the sink or chhanni 🦠I wish you could smell through the reel how naturally and amazingly fragrant their cleaners are 🦠They leave 100 times lower residue (0.0012% by weight) compared to Indian Standards’ requirement (0.1% by weight) 🦠They support local farmers through procurement of their premium quality Himayalan Soapnuts #EcoCleaningSolutions #SustainableCleaning #GreenCleaningRevolution [biodegradable cleaning products marine life protection, non toxic cleaners respiratory health benefits, eco friendly cleaning brands reducing water pollution, plant based cleaning products indoor air quality, sustainable packaging cleaning products ocean impact]

  2. Example #684849 of how tourism so often mirrors colonial exploitation: Recently, Richard Hart of Green Rhino claimed that Mexico City “doesn’t have bread culture”—a statement that conveniently justifies opening his version of the “world’s best bakery” in a city whose existing food traditions he dismisses with open contempt. This is a familiar pattern within the world of tourism: devalue local culture → position yourself as the solution → frame it as a civilizing mission (aka Richard’s bread coming to save Mexico from “those ugly cheap tortas”) then extract profit from the very place you claim is so deeply lacking. Unsurprisingly, his bakery is designed to cater to a foreign clientele—tourists and expats whose spending enriches wealthy business owners, while local food systems and everyday cultural institutions are treated as invisible, inferior, or unworthy of recognition. Mexico City does not lack bread culture. It lacks protection from an extractive tourism economy that rewards outsiders for “discovering” what local communities have sustained for generations. If you’re visiting Mexico City, do what ethical tourism practices call us to do:support what already exists. When I visited the iconic neighborhood staple Pasteleria La Ideal, I remember being so deeply overwhelmed with the choices of different types of breads that I had to get help just organizing my thoughts. I say all this to say: Richard Hart, Mexico does not need your bread. Thank you. #EthicalTravel #MexicoCity #TourismIsColonial #FoodCulture #Gentrification #CulturalErasure #Panadería #TravelPolitics #SupportLocal #richardhart #mexicocitybakeries #panaderialaideal #pastelerialaideal
