  1. I didnโ€™t switch from Canon to Fuji because Canon wasnโ€™t good enough. I switched because somewhere along the wayโ€ฆ I stopped feeling anything when I picked up my camera. Canon built my career. It paid my bills. It took me from shooting weddings in 2014 to working with brands like Dickies, Honda, Outdoorsy, Sigma, Go RVing and more. But after ten years of perfect autofocus and perfect filesโ€ฆ I realized something wasnโ€™t perfect at all โ€” me. I wasnโ€™t excited to shoot anymore. I wasnโ€™t creating unless someone was paying me. The spark that got me into photography in the first place? Gone. Then in 2021, I bought a Fuji X100V โ€œjust for fun.โ€ And that little camera did something wildโ€ฆ It made me want to shoot every day again. The colours felt alive. The quirks made it exciting. The whole experience reminded me why I ever picked up a camera back in the first place. So yeahโ€ฆ Fuji isnโ€™t perfect. Low light struggles. Autofocus isnโ€™t Canon. But it brought back the feeling Iโ€™d been missing for years โ€” and thatโ€™s worth more than specs. If your camera doesnโ€™t inspire you anymore, maybe itโ€™s not the gear thatโ€™s the problem.
