Les 3 randos à ajouter à ta liste pour voir les belles couleurs d’automne dans les Cantons-de-l’Est, Québec🍁🍂👇 1️⃣ Mont Giroux au Mont-Orford : Une petite rando facile d’environ 1,6 km pour se rendre au sommet. C’est le parfait sentier pour un lever de soleil 🌅 2️⃣ Owl’s Head : mon sentier préféré en automne. On a randonné directement via l’une des pistes de ski donc c’est une montée assez à pique, mais la vue sur le lac au sommet vaut absolument l’effort! 😍🍂 3️⃣ Pic de l’Ours dans le Parc national du Mont-Orford : une rando un peu plus longue de 12 km aller-retour. Plus exigeante que les deux autres randos, mais les vues valent tout autant la peine, tout le décor devient coloré à l’automne 😍🍂 Laquelle vas-tu essayer cet automne? ☺️🥾

Ce n’est plus un secret, le Mont Gosford est sans aucun doute dans les plus belles randos d’hiver à faire au Québec! 📍Mont Gosford 🅿️ Frais d’accés à payer à votre entrée à la ZEC 🥾 Environ 15 km aller-retour pour se rendre au sommet 😮‍💨656 m+ de dénivelé positif ❄️ habituellement c’est un sentier suffisamment achalandé pour n’avoir besoin que les crampons, mais apportez tout de même vos raquette et informez vous à votre arrivée sur les conditions des sentiers! ⚠️ C’est une randonnée classée comme étant difficile. Apportez suffisamment d’eau et de collations et des couches de vêtements supplémentaires chaudes! 🛜 Aucun réseau cellulaire disponible sur la montagne!

(SAVE for future trip planning) 🐧Runs until March 15th weather permitting. ❄️The Penguin Walk will be cancelled if the temperature is 5°C or warmer or -25°C or colder. ⏰10:30am daily. ‼️Only the colony members who choose to walk will go for the stroll, so numbers will vary each time. 📍The walk begins right near the Penguin Plunge exhibit. You won’t be able to miss the crowd and there are lots of staff to help direct people. 🔥 Tip: As you can see from the video, it’s busy (this was mild day and a weekend). But unlike with most things, I’m not going to say you need to arrive early to be able to see them. The penguins will walk by TWICE (consider it an “out and back” hike for them). And 80% of people leave after they walk by the first time.   3. sunset above the clouds in wild BC 🏔️ Yesterday’s sunset mission felt special in every way. It was my friend’s @margaux.cohen first hike after her serious injury last August , and witnessing her step back into the mountains made the moment even more meaningful. We drove up the Mamquam FSR and were greeted by a surprise cloud inversion that wrapped the valley in magic! 🔥 From there, we pushed through fresh, untouched snow on the way toward Alpen Mountain, chasing the last light of the day. At the summit ridge, the sky opened up with an incredible view of Sky Pilot, Mount Garibaldi and Tantalus range glowing above the clouds!   2. When I first left to go to Korea I was in a perfect place within community where I felt like I belonged and I felt really integrated. I knew that leaving at that time would not be the best idea, but I also knew that I wanted to see my grandparents and so I went and visited. Coming back to a now empty home feels harder than it ever has.   3. Want a gorp core jacket but not sure what to look for? These are all of the features you need in your oversized rain jacket. 1. OVERSIZED, i’m a small but with layering you’ll want 1-2 sizes bigger, in this video i’m wearing a large 2. BOTTOM SINCHES, in order to adjust the legnth of your jacket you neeeeed the bottom sinches. If you have them, you can crop it and control the length you want 3. That place is often in the clouds, so you should think about going at least 2 times in your itinerary. We were more lucky on the Pico Ruivo side as we had an incredible sunset over the clouds. Good place for sunrise) 📍Seixal (incredible village with mountains in the back) 📍Pico Ruivo (highest peak in Madeira. It’s often over the clouds, incredible sunset there) 📍Pico do Arieiro (insane hike at sunrise or sunset. Try to go at least 2 times to have good weather conditions) Honorable mentions : 📍Achadas da Cruz (it was closed when we were there because of wildfire😢, but I am sure that it would have been in my top 5. Me and Chappell Roan will have to agree to disagree on moving to Saskatchewan This year marks 11 years since I’ve moved to the west coast and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made :) Don’t get me wrong- I love where I grew up and I do love Sask.   3. the next time you head to niagara region, check out this route see a provincial park with two waterfalls, a historic mill and waterfall, and a boardwalk all within a ten minute drive of each other: 🌳 stop 1: short hills provincial park, a beautiful non-operating park that features two waterfalls and 7 different trails. parking is free and there are a number of lots to park in; lot c is the closest to terrace falls, which is featured in this video. the falls here are notoriously dry, so it’s best to go in the winter or spring after a heavy rainfall! 🌊 stop 2: decew falls and morningstar mill, a small flour mill that was built in the 1800s with a beautiful cascading waterfall. this can be a quick roadside stop, as the falls are located right by the parking lot, or if you’re looking for a more challenging hike, you can hop on the @brucetrail_btc 🌉 stop 3: mel swart lake gibson conservation park for a sunset boardwalk stroll! while in the area, be sure to check out a few local favourites including @beechwooddoughnuts for the best vegan donuts you’ll ever have! #exploreontario #discoverontario #niagara #niagararegion #niagaratourism #stcatharines #decewfalls

  1. We made it to Abraham Lake to see the bubbles!! This is probably my third time seeing the bubbles and it’s always exciting to see. I was a bit nervous to get on the lake because I could actually see the rocks at the bottom of the lake, but I walked across it. This year, I made sure to wear my heavy duty winter boots and jacket because it’s always very windy and cold at the lake. Abraham Lake is man-made and is along the David Thompson Highway. During the months of January and February, locals and visitors alike flock to the lake to see the methane bubbles.   2. The mountains are for all of us 🤘 Mountain activities are incredibly intimidating, and I still get serious imposter syndrome when I’m out there at times. It can be really hard to see yourself doing these things when they look so out of reach… from both a physical and societal point of view. I absolutely would not be where I am today were it not for my fking badass women who mentored me and made me feel comfortable, competent and capable in the mountains. Then, seeing more and more women and non-binary folks in these settings, both online and in person, has provided an even stronger sense of community and inclusion, not just for me but I know for so many of you. If you want to get out there but don’t know where to start, look toward accessible and inclusive local programs. In the sea-to-sky region we have so many incredible initiatives including: @colourthetrails @mountain.mentors @allaccess_adventures Amongst so many others who are providing open and inclusive space for individuals of all identities & backgrounds to get involved in mountain activities. Find your tribe, be safe and keep pushing those perceived boundaries.   3. What I’d tell younger me ⤵️ 1️⃣ Jump right into ‘manual’ mode. The *most important tool* you can have is understanding the balance of aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The fundamental of allllll photography. The sooner you dial these in the more creative control you’ll unlock! 2️⃣ A good mentor = life changing. Back when I started, there wasn’t social media. At an Alexisonfire show in Toronto, I literally walked up to a photographer and asked him about his work… @sojufancyhuh said “if you’re really serious about this, I can teach you”. Legit changed my life. Kieran helped me navigate the industry, gave me feedback on my work and editing… thank you my friend 🫶 3️⃣ Fancier gear won’t make you a better photographer. Period. Developing your eye and learning how to capture light defines the impact of your work. Gear and upgrades are simply just tools to capture your vision. If you’re just starting, find a used camera that had Manual mode and I promise you can learn and make incredible photos. Save the upgrades for when you *really* need them. 4️⃣ LET GO OF PERFECTION THIS IS IN ALL CAP BECAUSE I STILL NEED TO SAY THIS TO MYSELF EVERY DAY LOL. There is no “perfect” and if you don’t let that go you’ll keep holding yourself back. 5️⃣ Shoot what *you* love, not what you think everyone else does. Sure, get inspired by other photographers, artists, your peers etc. But use the inspiration as energy rather than imitating what you think you “should” shoot (especially for engagement). You’ll never find yourself otherwise.
