  2. MAKE DINNER IN UNDER 30 MINUTES WITH A DIETITIAN #Ad One of the most common conversations I have with clients is how to eat healthy during the work week while balancing a busy work schedule, kids, the gym, etc. One of my biggest tips is to have go-to recipes that are quick to prepare and cook, but that also taste great, such as this black pepper stir fried tofu and green beans recipe. Having @LeeKumKeeCanada sauces handy helps makes the process even quicker and tastier especially if you’re seeking less sodium or gluten-free alternatives. A bonus tip is to meal prep a batch of rice on Sunday that you can reheat throughout the week! Here’s the recipe: Yields: 1 serving (multiply the tofu and green beans by the number of desired servings to meal prep or cook for multiple people) INGREDIENTS For the Sauce 5 tablespoons @leekumkeecanada Less Sodium Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Green label Oyster Sauce (gluten-free) 3 tablespoons water or veggie broth 2 tablespoons maple syrup ½ teaspoon ground ginger 1 tablespoon ground black pepper To Assemble ½ teaspoon sesame oil ¼ block of extra firm tofu, cubed 1 teaspoon corn starch 1 cup green beans, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces ½ cup cooked brown jasmine rice DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the sesame oil. While the skillet is preheating, toss the cubed tofu with the cornstarch until evenly coated. Add the tofu into the skillet and pan-fry for 2-3 minutes, until the tofu starts to turn golden. 2. Once golden, add the green beans and a splash of water. 3. Cover with a lid and allow to cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the green beans are tender. 4. While the tofu and green beans are cooking, whisk together all of the sauce ingredients. 5. Once the green beans are tender, add 2 tablespoons of the sauce and stir to evenly coat all of the tofu and green beans with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced/thickened. 6. Remove from the heat and serve with the cooked brown jasmine rice. You can refrigerate any additional sauce and use for subsequent meals! Who’s trying this recipe out?🙋🏻‍♀️ #CookWithLKK #LKKPartner

  3. Hey, Jay here! Registered Dietitian and mom of two. 👋🏼 • The biggest misconception I hear about raising intuitive eaters is that the primary purpose of teaching kids to eat intuitively is so that they don’t eat too much sugary foods. • I see post after post of kid plates with half eaten cookies, cake, ice cream, chocolate...with comments like “intuitive eating works!” • Now don’t get me wrong...I agree...these are great examples of kids honouring their hunger and satisfaction signals... • But where are the same posts of kid plates with leftover vegetables and protein foods? • The main goal of helping kids eat intuitively is to help them nourish themselves and grow the way they are meant to grow...to connect with internal cues and avoid letting external cues take over. (Oh you know...like when diet culture creeps in and starts trying to convince us that we can’t trust our bodies.) • So, I guess the point I am trying to make is that you should feel equally proud of your kiddos when they trust their body, honour their satiety/satisfaction signals, and stop eating “so called treat foods” as when they do the same thing and stop eating “so called healthy foods”. • Of course there is nuance and each child/family is different. If your kiddo omits whole food groups or textures, they might need a bit more support to get them to a place where they can truly eat intuitively. However, if your kiddo generally eats a variety of foods and textures...it is completely normal for them to eat a lot of one type of food one day and very little or maybe none of that food the next day. • Intuitive eating applies to all foods. • *This post is for general education purposes. It doesn’t replace individual nutrition and feeding advice from a healthcare professional. . . . . . #feedingkids #intuitiveeating #intuitiveeatingofficial #bodytrust #trustyourbody #ditchthediet #riotsnotdiets #kidnutrition #rdchat #judgementfreezone #parentingtips

  1. We spent three days on Nipissing territory making bark baths with youth, staff, and community. It rained nonstop. The mosquitoes left us swollen. We adapted. And we finished. Hundreds of bark baths.. made the old way.. now in the hands of our people. This isn’t a wellness trend. This is high-functioning medicine. This recipe was passed down by medicine people who used it their entire careers.. And they never saw it fail. Neither have I. Eczema, psoriasis, scarring, hormonal acne, burns, chemo damage.. we’ve used this thousands of times. So far? Not a single skin condition has survived it. Here's why it works: 🌱 Adopweaash, Alder (Alnus spp.) Oregonin – a diarylheptanoid compound that targets deep hormonal dysregulation and reduces inflammatory cytokines at the root of acne, eczema, and even PCOS-related skin flares. 🌿 Ziisagopimish, Willow (Salix spp.) Salicin – a natural prodrug that metabolizes to salicylic acid in the skin, triggering directed healing responses, clearing damaged tissue, reducing keratin buildup, and targeting pathogen overgrowth. It tells the skin: heal here. 🌿 Azaatii, Poplar (Populus spp.) Populin & Tremulacin.. calming polyphenols that create the healing environment by downregulating inflammatory enzymes like COX-2 and soothing sensory nerves.. the skin’s version of a safe place to rest. The combination of heat, medicine and acids are just like a sweat lodge or exercise, the mild insult pushes the body to respond and rebuild. Then blood rushes in.. and healing begins. My muma just called this “a bath.” That’s how ordinary it was. But now, being this far removed from those teachings, we call it therapy. Mino bimaadiziwin isn’t a luxury. It’s what happens when you return to the rhythm. When you align knowledge with action. It’s time to take it back. Our health. Our ways. #BarkBaths #Nibiising #AnishinaabeMedicine #TraditionalHealing #IndigenousPharmacology #MinoBimaadiziwin #HormonalAcne #EczemaHelp #SkinHealing #LandBasedMedicine #ReclaimTheBath #WeWereBornForThis
