Left it at school? Oh well 🚫 Sharpening pencils - students know where the class sharpener is and I’ve trained them on how to use it (and yes, you’d be surprised how many primary students had no idea how to use a mechanical sharpener) 🚫 Where to find items in the classroom - I am a pretty organized teacher and everything has a home. Ask 3 before me! 🚫 Logging into devices - students are pretty good at this now, and if they forget, they know where to find their login card and try on their own 🚫 Zipping up jackets - an obvious one but unless your coat is severely stuck, you can definitely zip up your own jacket! We had so much fun gaslighting our students during Teacher Appreciation Week, by planning out theme days for ONLY staff, so that we could keep our students confused and curious as to why we were all dressed similarly hahaha 🙊 highly recommend!!! Our underground staff spirit week was a big success and it was awesome to see sooo much participation 👏 We kept the spirit days fairly simple so that we could use items we already had in our closets. Here are the spirit days we did in case you’re looking for ideas for your school: ❤️Monochromatic Monday ❤️School Gear / Athletic Wear Tuesday (didn’t film this day since I didn’t want to show our school logo/name) ❤️Western Wednesday ❤️Secret Service Day ❤️Dress like a student day Most students didn’t REALLY catch on until about Wednesday, and that’s when they started to figure out that we were up to something 🤭🤭 Shoutout to the amazing staff at my school who were so willing to participate in making this reel!
