  1. On one of my very first hikes, I brought some baby carrots to snack on at the halfway point. I was seated beside a lake, and one of the baby carrots fell into the shallow water. I figured, it’s biodegradable, it’s not like I’m LITTERING, right? A ranger came up to me, literally out of nowhere and kindly asked if I was planning to pick it up. I did, pretending like I was going to the entire time…. but I would have left it. I had no idea what Leave No Trace really meant, and frankly I was kind of annoyed that I was being told what to do. But here’s the thing. One little carrot like that may seem rather insignificant, but it can absolutely affect the ecosystem. It can alter soil and water, attract wildlife, and change animal behavior. One piece feels small, but repeated by thousands of people, it becomes a real problem. So love your mother, and LNT! #earth #nature #leavenotrace

  2. Most hiking injuries don’t happen on the way up…
 They happen on the way down. Downhill hiking creates eccentric loading: your muscles are braking your full body weight instead of lifting it. 
That creates more microscopic damage to muscles, tendons, and joints than climbing. Translation: You’re not weak.
 You’re just hiking downhill wrong. Three rules that saved my knees across 300+ hikes in the past two years alone:
 • Shorter steps 
• Slower cadence 
• Trekking poles only downhill I use trekking poles because they offload up to 25% of knee force. Need some tips to pick out new poles? Here’s what to look for: 1️⃣ Be honest about your hiking style
Different hikers need different poles. Period. 2️⃣ Collapsible > fixed (for 90% of humans)
If you ever stash poles in your pack, travel, film, or hike mixed terrain, you must go collapsible 3️⃣ Aluminum vs carbon
Aluminum = bends, survives abuse
Carbon = lighter, stiffer, snaps when it hates you (I’ve had two break coming down waterfalls in the last year alone)
 4️⃣ Flick locks or walk away
Twist locks fail when wet or dirty.
Flick locks save your wrists. 5️⃣ Cork grips or regret it later
Cork molds to your hand. Foam dies. Rubber gets gross.
 6️⃣ Straps aren’t decoration
If they’re flimsy, the poles are trash.
Use them right or don’t use them at all. 7️⃣ Tips + baskets
Carbide tips. Replaceable parts.
 8️⃣ Weight doesn’t matter as much as comfort
A pole that slips or hurts your hands is heavier than one that weighs 3 oz more. Bottom line:

  2. The craziest place I’ve ever stayed👇🏻 If you’ve ever wanted to sleep on the side of a cliff… this one’s for you. Welcome to @OVOPatagonia, just outside of El Chaltén, Argentina. Getting there isn’t exactly casual. You hike up the mountain, get welcomed with drinks + a full charcuterie spread, can shower if you want (last chance before the domes)… and then it’s time to gear up. You’re provided with a harness, helmet and a personal guide to get you to your own private dome! And once you’re in… you’re in. No leaving until morning. But you have everything you need in the three story dome: food & water, a bathroom, cozy sheets and robes, a walkie talkie to communicate & insaaaane views of Fitz Roy in Patagonia! It’s a little scary & surreal but 100000% one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. They’re closed for winter right now, but bookings are open for the 2026/2027 season 👀 Would you do this??? w/ @miss.rover #patagonia #elchalten

  3. everything we did in Patagonia in April👇🏻 Ok so, the biggest lesson we learned in Patagonia is: book as much time as you possibly can there because the weather is insane. It rained for 6 of our 9 days in El Chalten and we were afraid we weren’t going to see anything! Finally got a weather window and omgggg, it was amazing. Plus going in the fall means, less crowds, easier camping permits, colorful trees (the coolest trees) and slightly cheaper accommodations. In total we were there for about 22 days across the Chile and Argentina side from late March into early April! El Chaltén, Argentina: • Laguna de los Tres at sunrise • OVO Patagonia Via Ferrata Hotel (!!) @ovopatagonia • Laguna Cerro Torre (my favorite) • Laguna Capri • Camped at Poincenot Camp • El Chaltén sign • Sunrise 5 miles outside of town on the main road (rent a bike or grab a cab SO worth it) Puerto Natales, Chile • The cutest little town (also your gateway to the park) • Cold plunge in the Last Hope Fjord • Stay at a ranch: Estancia Peninsula • Took the bus from Puerto Natales to El Chalten Torres del Paine National Park, Chile: • Base of the Towers hike • Mirador Condor (best views) • Explora Hotel boardwalk • Ice hike on Grey Glacier • Do the W Trek (stay at Paine Refugio or Grey Sector) • The stretch between Grey & Paine = unreal • Ferry across Lago Grey Ferry across Lago Pehoé lmk if you have any questions! We share practical travel tips, bucket list spots, and yes… a little chaos along the way so hit follow if you’re into that 💃🕺 This is 📍 Gaztelugatxeko Doniene in the Basque Country This tiny island off the coast of the Bay of Biscay is connected by a narrow stone bridge… and then you climb 241 steps to the top 😅 And yes… if it looks familiar, that’s because it was used as Dragonstone in Game of Thrones 🐉 (they added a lot of CGI, but the setting is very real) 📍 Why it’s so special A historic pilgrimage site with a small hermitage at the top Legend says ring the bell 3 times and make a wish 🔔 Insane coastal views in every direction… cliffs, waves, deep blue water 🤯 📍 Know before you go 🎟️ You need to reserve a free time slot during peak hours ⏰ They only let you in within your selected hour… not before, not after 👉 If you have a slot, get there EARLY. Parking is far and the walk in takes time… we were cutting it very close 😮‍💨 🥾 241 steps down… and then back up (the way back is no joke) 📍 Pro tip We stayed for sunset and highly recommend… fewer people, golden light, and honestly one of the best views we saw in northern Spain 🌅 It’s one of those places that actually lives up to the hype Have you seen this in real life… or just on screen? 👀

  3. Started in dry desert tones and climbed into pine, patches of snow, wildflowers, and flowing streams weaving through it all. Hours on the trail, surrounded by crisp, clean air and a kind of quiet that settles into you. Everything felt still in the best way, peaceful, grounded, like a full reset. There were moments I just paused, took it in, and thought, this is exactly where I’m supposed to be. Not chasing anything. Not proving anything. Just moving, breathing, and letting the trail do its thing. somewhere deep into mile fourteen, I found a kind of peace that felt pure🌲🌸💧🏔️
