Teddy Thomas - The Birth Story 👶🏼✨ I had been having small contractions / twinges for a couple of weeks before so I wasn’t fully convinced at first that it was all happening or how long it would all take I think being at home in the beginning really helped me to stay relaxed by just keeping busy with household tasks, having a shower getting ready etc. I was threw off a little with knowing when to go in, because although we don’t live too far from the hospital I know how quick the second time can be But I think I timed it perfectly, as I got to hospital it all ramped up pretty quick I wish I could have got into the pool sooner just knowing how much it relaxed me but I suppose that comes with going to the hospital for delivery and had me thinking home birth may have actually been better for me One difference I found compared to first time was that I wanted to be left alone and was getting a little agitated when I was getting checked etc. which I know is really important for the baby’s safety and the midwives were incredible and only doing their job but my body was just craving peace and calm Once we got onto the labour ward, as we were waiting for the pool to be filled I tried the gas and air but I was well past it and it was messing up my breathing. I remember thinking ‘I’m not sure how much longer I can take the intensity of these contractions’ - the transition The pool was finally filled and I got in. After one contraction I was saying how nice the white noise of the pool being filled was. So Tom grabbed his phone to put the radio on to fill the silence Then the next contraction came, it was super intense, it broke my waters and my body did the involuntary fetal ejection which I had never ever heard of before. Everything happened all at once in a matter of seconds. I was in shock at first and still had my eyes closed and Tom said ‘Alice he’s in the water swimming around’ 🤣 followed by ‘I didn’t even get chance to put virgin chilled on’ 😭 I think he was just as in shock Big lad was 8lb 11oz. 4oz bigger than Bertie at birth We all had a good feed and was discharged by 4 o’clock, home in time for dinner & a glass of champagne at my mums 🥂

However the long term damaging effect for a short term fix is shocking 😩 Come to me, I will educate you on the human body, I’ll teach you how to eat properly, how to fuel your body and how to to feel amazing for your long term health .. F*%K them skinny and pens right off, WTF even are they… PS. @niksskinwellness said I was allowed to swear so blame her 😂😂😂😂 I said what I said 🥳

  3. Is food before 1 year old just for fun? We have many parents asking this question, with many unsure of the importance of solid food in the first year. So how much food does a baby need in their first year of life and is the introduction of solids just that an introduction and should be classed as just fun? What are the official guidelines for parents on introducing food. For the first 6 months babies nutritional needs will be met by breast of formula milk no other means of nutrition is needed up until this point. Babies should begin to wean at approx 6 months and should remain breast fed or formula fed for as long as possible up to this point. At 6 months old breast or formula no longer meet the full nutritional needs of a baby alone and the transition of weaning begins. The main reason for this is a baby is born with a store of iron that last up until they are 6 months then begins to run out they then need iron rich foods to maintain a healthy level. So nutritionally babies need to be gradually over the next 6 months through the 3 stages of weaning increase their soild food intake and decrease their breast or formula intake. By a year old babies should now be eating 3 good meals a day and 2 snacks, milk feeds should have reduced to 2 larger feeds morning and night or 3 small feeds morning, afternoon and night. Between 12- 15 months babies can transition fully on to cows milk from breast or formula. For those on a plantbased diet formula or breast milk should continue until a baby is 2 years old as many plant based milks do not meet their nutritional needs up until then.

I failed at something I’ve been striving towards for 18 months and I was getting closer to the end goal with every passing week. • They say failures are the pillars of success and I truly believe that, but bouncing back is always difficult when you’d given it everything and it still wasn’t enough. • There was a weakness in my preparation for a course no female NCO has passed before and the pressure I applied to myself because of this was too much and got the better of me. • My heart is truly broken. • I wanted it so bad so I could help other females along the way who have struggled in the past on their fitness journey, but unfortunately my journey has been cut short because of something that could have been prevented had I factored more into my preparation. • Was it my mindset? Was it my age and my body not recovering quick enough?
