  1. 🥐 After all the buzz surrounding the opening of Public, it needs no introduction as one of Nottingham’s most popular brunch spots. 🪴 Breathing new life into Low Pavement, Public offers a unique blend of café culture and botanical charm. The first thing you notice when stepping inside the building that was formerly a bank is the trays and trays of freshly baked, beautifully decorated croissants. 🥐 The second thing you may notice is just how busy it is. I’ve walked past on occasion and seen queues going out the door and into the street. It’s not always easy to get a table, and many four-seater tables are taken up by lone laptop workers. However, after speaking to a server, she kindly helped us find a spot suitable for two of us, plus a baby and pram! 🥑I was really impressed with my £10 brunch plate: a generous portion of smoked salmon, an equally generous portion of freshly made smashed avocado (the proper stuff!), a slice of freshly baked bread, and a pot of thick, creamy yoghurt topped with granola and berries. I would 100% order this again as it hit the spot and feels like great value for money.🫐 The front counter is filled with freshly baked pastries, cakes, and sandwiches—it's heaven for any carb and sugar lover. The croissant toppings are really creative, and we split the tiramisu one between us. In hindsight, I would have happily eaten one myself because it was divine—light, flakey and very buttery. 🍰 Coffee wise, I'd say there's perhaps better to be found in town but it does the job, and it’s definitely a spot I would return to! If you're looking for Mexican food in Nottingham, the tacos at Muchos Locos are actually pretty delicious! 🌮 We tried the beef birria and they were super tasty and came with a great dipping sauce. I love that they have bottles of different hot sauce available too.   3. Ad | Nottingham is famously built on a labyrinth of caves and underground tunnels, giving the city a rich and storied connection to its subterranean past. Among the few iconic pubs where you can eat and drink in these unique spaces, one stands out for its rich history and stellar reputation: the Hand & Heart on Derby Road @handandheartnottingham, now taken over by @thepubpeople group. This beloved Nottingham pub has recently reopened and lovingly restored to its former glory, and it continues to uphold its reputation as one of the best spots for a roast dinner in the city centre.🍷 Head Chef @chefmarkymalarkey is back at his old stomping ground and in action in the kitchen at the Hand & Heart serving his legendary roasts. The pub isn’t just about Sunday feasts,though—its main menu is back in full swing too. Stop by Thursday - Saturday to savour comforting dishes like Beef Bourguignon Pie with chunky chips, Slow-braised Oxtail with mash, and focaccia with flavoured butter of the day (we had scampi & chips flavour!). 🥧 It's proper, hearty pub food to suit all palettes and the current menu fits in wonderfully with the cold weather and the approach of Christmas. We also tried the Bavette Steak with peppercorn sauce which was delicious (and honestly, the chips are to die for) as well as a deep-fried wedge of brie with with smoked bacon and caramelised onion purée which was amazing. If you can fit it in, there's a Bourbon Pecan Pie on the menu that's lush and definitely enough for two to share! Welcome to @theboxbaruk, the fifth of its kind and the first in our lovely city. Don't be tricked into thinking this is any kind of regular sports bar because it is so much more than that.  They're here to change the game, and they're succeeding. Boasting 35 screens, if it's the game you're interested in then you can comfortably view it from each and every angle, but if the match of the day isn't quite your cup of tea, there's plenty more on offer, including: 🎯 Interactive Darts 🥌 Shuffleboard 🎤 Karaoke 🎸 Live Music  🍻 Craft Beers 🍹 241 Cocktails 🍔 An impressively tasty food menu 🪩 And the largest disco ball I've ever seen At Box, you can dance on the benches, cheer on your favourite team, drink a cocktail from a stein glass and sing karaoke with a live band backing you up. Their motto is Watch, Play, Party, and so far they've ticked every box ✅ And I'll tell you what - the food is great, too! I've had my fair share of limp burgers and anemic fries at bars before, but Box is a world away from that.   3. Have you ever wanted to go on a food tour of Nottingham to explore some of the best food the city has to offer?  Introducing EAT: Nottingham Food Tours. A food tour run by the talented Leigh from @thenottinghambucketlist that will take you on a gastronomic journey through the streets of Nottingham, stopping at six independent restaurants to sample the food - with a little bit of history added in too. It's the first tour of its kind in Nottingham, accommodating groups of twelve people at £75 each. Let me assure you that the amount of food you get, along with the incredibly knowledgeable host, makes the experience worth it.  It's a fantastic idea for groups of friends, but also for solo adventurers to book in and spend the day with other foodies seeing the city! Our guide, a seasoned food blogger of ten years, has handpicked six favourite spots, starting off strong in the back streets of the Lace Market in an underground hideaway at @vidabylorentes for some authentic Spanish tapas (including paella!) and a welcome drink of sangria.  Next, we wandered over to Neapolitan pizzeria @pizzamisunottingham for a couple of slices of the good stuff. The light, airy dough typical of Neapolitan pizza ensured we didn't fill up too much on carbs and cheese—a necessary sacrifice for the greater good of the tour.  Our third stop brought us to one of my favourite restaurants in Nottingham, @mesahockley, for the best focaccia around and some selected small plates. And yes, you get to try their legendary burger too. (If you know, you know.) The fourth stop is a visit to the wonderful Ellie's @_studiochocolate for a brilliant introduction to chocolate tasting where we tried a selection of 100% cocoa all the way to white chocolate.  Honestly, by now you're stuffed and can't fit much more in, but leave room for a cheese board at @delilahfinefoods and a night cap (or afternoon cap) at cocktail bar @31k.notts.  📢 Spaces are filling up fast for Nottingham's hottest event, so secure your spot by booking through the link in @thenottinghambucketlist's bio! Since this has been circulated about I thought I’d post it, yesterday was my brothers birthday yesterday I got the call I never wanted to receive my dad has been involved in a accident a wreck less driver speeding on the wrong side of the road hit my dad head on when my dad was on his way home from work, I raced to the scene as quick as I could unfortunately my dad passed away at the scene before I could get there 💔😢 he passed away alone in the street it breaks me in half I’ll never be the same, he will never get to see the man ill become he will never get to see me achieve the things I’ll achieve he will never get to see my nephew grow up he Will never get to see my sister get married the list goes on I’m broken man I hide my pain well I don’t know how I’ll move on from this, I’m cold im numb I’m emotionless my family will never be complete. That has to be the ‘swift one on Friday after a hard week’s graft’ – and @somewherebeerhouse really had us covered here. Beeston’s newest beerhouse is a beauty. Nestled behind some inviting shrubbery, the aesthetic is perfect for those seeking an escape from the rat race. The atmosphere is calm and soothing, but there’s also an energetic feel as parched punters pack-in to the compact space. You’ve got an ideal spot for people-watching on the tables outside, and yes, this pub is incredibly dog-friendly. It’s nigh-on impossible to set foot in Somewhere and not encounter at least one good boy – which is always the sign of a venue that has got its priorities ironed out perfectly. Whether it’s the soothing presence of plants and fauna, or the laid-back playlist in the background, Somewhere stands as an island sanctuary among a sea of chaos. We’d say that this is their defining characteristic. It’s a great place to unwind, and the easy-going buzz puts your head in a good space. Let’s talk booze then, shall we? They have four beers on tap, including a stout and an IPA. But between us, the German Helles – provided by Brauhaus Tergernsee – quenched our insatiable thirst. Crisp, malty, and subtle on the tastebuds, this Bavarian brew ticks all the boxes. It’s also worth noting that you can get cocktails by the can here, and the Vacay Margarita went down an absolute storm. The bold drinks menu matches the flamboyant yellow décor outside, and provides a boozing experience that is unique to the area. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Beeston, but the mini-trek is more than worthwhile. A beer is to be earned, after all, and if you can trick your FitBit or step counters into thinking that you’ve gone the extra mile, then your reward at the end is a guilt-free pint.   3. 🍻💷 Five pints for UNDER £15 in Nottingham! ⏪ Had to run it back, didn’t I? Following on from the 4-for-£10 reel I did in summer, the long-threatened follow-up has landed. Despite seeking out more pints AND having a bigger budget, I found this one more challenging. But not impossible… 🙏 Grateful to all the pubs featured here. It’s not easy flogging ale for a pittance these days, so have to appreciate the bargain beers wherever they’re going. This is my first voiceover content too, so if you can avoid laughing at me running out of breath at the end, that’d be swell. 1) The Gooseberry Bush (@wetherspoonsofficial) Might as well get the cheat code out the way first. The Spoons near the Arboretum has a unique look about it, and some fine upper-floor views. They’ve got a proper craft beer on tap, and the Shipyard Pale Ale costs just £2.99. That’ll do for me. 2) @goldenfleeceofficial This is the dictionary definition of ‘elite boozer’. Old school charm, with a nice bit of decking and a cosy interior. A pint of Mad Sheep lager only sets you back £3, and boasts a crisp, clean finish. Your homework is to visit Golden Fleece as soon as humanly possible. 3) @lostcitynotts Into the underbelly of the Cornerhouse, we find The Lost City. You can book a few rounds of crazy golf or simply have a jar in the tiki bar. Their own-brewed lager is 4% ABV, and between the hours of 17:00 – 20:00 each day, it goes for £2.50 a pint. Can’t afford not to… 4) @rescuerooms Yes, you’d have seen this on the last price-busting reel. But honestly, I’m not arsed. Brooklyn Pilsner is one of the best pints available in town, and it borders on madness that Rescue Rooms pour it for £3 every day, between 16:00 – 20:00. More than happy to repeat myself on this occasion. 5) @billybootleggersnottingham Just a good time guaranteed. Lively, raucous, bloody good fun. From live music and late-night parties to pickle shots and PlayStations, Billy Bootleggers is fast becoming ‘party central’. I have struggled with this life lesson a few times on my journey through wanting to please other people or just not wanting to offend another person with my life choices…. But it always bites you in the ass, you either resent who your trying to please by throwing your choices in their face or you end up resenting you’re self or even worse you start to loose your self and become somebody you don’t want to be …… I’m still on this journey of trying to make my choices based on what is authentic for me without worrying about how others emotionally respond, other people emotions are not your responsibility and you cannot control them you can only control your own …. And just as you want to be accepted to make the choices you wish with your life, so do others so it’s wise to be more gentle on people who Are making choices in there life ….. it’s very easy to criticise others and how they live or what choices they make but remember there story is their creation allow them to create ❤️
