  1. It’s taken me a long time to write this post, mostly because it just won’t sink in, and that we are all so heartbroken by what’s happened. On the afternoon of the 27th of August… my beloved father, Michael, died very unexpectedly at home. He wasn’t ill for a second, and even at the very end he didn’t suffer in the slightest. Knowing Dad as well as we did, if he was going to chose a way out, that would have been how he would have wanted to go. My Dad has changed the lives of so many people in his time. He served in the Navy for many years, including during the Falklands and Bosnian wars as a Naval medic. He spent many years as a consultant of Emergency medicine, and must have saved hundreds of thousands of lives throughout his career. He inspired me every day as a child to pursue a medical career, and he continues to inspire me forever as I venture into the world of Emergency Veterinary medicine. He leaves behind a family who adore him, friends who will never forget him, and a legacy I only hope I can come close to achieving for myself in his memory. Dad, I can’t ever thank you enough for all you’ve done for me and for us in my life, and for what you’re going to continue to do for me. I’ll miss your big bear hugs, your wicked sense of humour, your encyclopaedic knowledge of The Beatles and of the cycling tours, and most of all, how you never let me down once in your life; now matter how small or how big the task was, you would do it for us because you loved us. And don’t worry, I promise to always remain “Rigidly Flexible” in life, as you always advised me to be. RIP Michael, beloved husband, legendary father, and incredible grandfather. 20/04/1950 - 27/08/2021

Let me know your opinion on the comments below👇 🔥Heres my hot take:🔥 As hair grows, not all of the hairs grow at the same time.🕦 So when we look at the regrowth, the new darker hairs and the old bleached hairs will be mixed in together, meaning we don’t have a straight line to bleach to. This is called INTERGRATION (you’ll find an older post I did all about it if you scroll down) The longer the hair grows, the more this happens.🙈 So; When we bleach a small regrowth, we apply the bleach in one go and do all the roots, to that integrated line BUT When we apply a long regrowth (over 8 weeks) we need to do it in 2 parts, The regrowth that’s 1.5cm away from the scalp first, TO THAT INTERGRATED LINE! Then wait for it to lift,🕦 Then apply the roots. This means that the bleach that is overlapping all those previously bleached hairs that are integrated with the dark is being left on LONGER!   2. When I say I’m a blonde specialist, this is what I mean! Blonde specialists, specialise in bleaching and toning hair. And if you are looking for grey blending/ grey transformation, You either need to grow it out, or bleach it out. Because bleach is the only way to get that old colour out! Here I’m talking to my client about 2 possible options: 1️⃣ Cover her white hair with a Demi permenant colour that will gradually lighten over time and add in blonde highlights so her hair will be blonder and she can gradually transition to grey. 2️⃣ bleach the whole lot in one session and get to grey in a day. Option 2 sounds simple but this was a 7 hour colour session and she will still need to come back a few times to have a toner refresh.
