I’ve had many a love affair with the millennial shade, at 16 painting my whole bedroom to resemble Barbie’s palace, having a ‘pink’ themed 18th birthday (the boys weren’t so keen), persuading a friend to dye my hair tips trying to channel Gwen Stefani (remember the trend the first time round?) to celebrating the millennium in a bright pink satin trouser suit. When I say it looked a little like this....(see more in my Stories) there was also 10 bridesmaids, an iconic London Church with choir, route master buses, black taxis, a paddle steamer boat, a roaming band, copious Champagne (of course), gin cocktails from a bicycle, an oyster bar, a lighthouse, his and her’s desserts, an airstream photo booth, an epic cheese table, a Strictly Come Dancing worthy first dance, a 7 piece band, a sparkler exit and...a surprise speed boat getaway for the Bride and groom. Phew. That might explain why I’m exhausted today! The incredible couple @pulse.is.racing had the idea of wanting to be shot in wedding dresses, a concept they’d never seen before in the wedding industry. They wanted to fuck with gender norms, why can’t two men wear wedding dresses? Why is this something we’re never shown? Why is it so far from the norm?   1. When Lizzie landed in a surprise mud puddle after her wedding ceremony, she refused to let it pop her happy bubble! Even when we realised the damage was too much to clean off, her positivity was unwavering and she just said, "Oh well, there's no point being upset about it!"
