  3. Here it is! The new workshop in all its (not so) glory! You have to use a bit of imagination to see past the clutter and mess as it clearly needs quite a lot of tlc, but I promise you won’t recognise the place when we’re done with it. I’ve got so many plans running through my head and can’t wait to make a proper start on the refurb. The outside will have a makeover too at some point. There are some jobs that need to be done before we can make a proper start, one being moving the water tank from the loft space to the kitchen. Then I’m hoping to be in and working from here by early June. The space is going to be such a luxury!   1. I have no words to describe the pain that I feel. In the early hours of Monday morning I was there as my Mum took her last breath and I am completely and utterly devastated. I held my Mums hand and whispered into her ear how much I truly loved her. Nothing prepares you for this moment and people tell you to speak to your loved one and leave nothing unsaid. There was nothing left unsaid between me and my Mum the only words I wanted to say to my Mum were “I will never love someone as much as I love you” she was surrounded by the people who loved her unconditionally and it was exactly how she wanted it to be. My Mum was my best friend. She listened to all my worries and then took them away, she listened to me when I was upset and made me feel like everything was going to be okay. When I came out to my Mum she held my hand whilst sitting on her bed and said “Sean, I love you with all of my heart and all I want for you is to be happy, I will love you no matter what”. My 70 year old Mum loved me that much she attended pride and danced and sung songs with people just because she loved me. The love she showed me that day I will never ever forget. She loved my partner Gordon so much and the love she exuded for us both we felt every single day. You were there for every moment of joy and celebration in my life and I felt how proud of me you were. All I ever wanted to do was make my wee Mum proud of me. I will never love someone as much as I love you Mum and I hope you truly know how much I loved you. You inspired me to be the person that I am today because I had a beautiful parent and role model that showed me unconditional love and support. You cared and loved all of your children including your grandchildren and we are all numb just now and can’t believe that this has happened within such a short time. Today, is my Mums 73rd Birthday. You always said I don’t feel like 73 I feel 37 (which is the year you had me) so today we are going to celebrate your 37th birthday because everything about you was young, vibrant, colourful and beautiful. I hope heaven was how we imagined it. As I let go of your hand Ryan takes your hand up there. Love you Mum

Hello Everyone I’ve wanted to make a wee post for a while but haven’t got round to doing it or knowing what to say but I wanted to pop on to say a heartfelt thanks to many of the people on here who know me only from Instagram but have taken the time regularly to message me and check in with me to see if im doing okay. Words cannot express what it means when someone messages you who feels the same as you and understands what you might be going through or just to say hello and I’m thinking about you. Your words of comfort, advice, and sympathy haven’t gone unnoticed and have meant the world to me. The last few months have been some of the worst of my entire life and each day I’ve been trying to rebuild myself and find myself again. I heard a phrase recently that’s stuck with me - you are one person before you lose your Mum and another person after you’ve lost your Mum and this couldn’t be closer to the truth. The loss of my Mum in my life has been huge. I just want to phone her and speak to her and tell all about what’s happening this week, I want to drive up to her house and give her a massive hug and tell her how much I love and adore her but I can’t. However, I’m so proud and honoured that she was my Mum. I’m so proud and honoured that in a world full of people she was the person who became my Mum and I’m so proud and honoured that the heart that pumps in my chest is because she made me. If you have your loved ones around you please give them a hug, tell them how much they mean to you and tell them that you love them. Life only seems short when you worry about what happens next, the only certainty you have is now so grasp it and don’t let go.

  1. I haven’t posted much the past few months because I’m not buying new clothes constantly like I used to, I’m working less, making less and paying a big mortgage with two kids to dress. So my wardrobe no longer gets a look in! But the fact I’m not posting because of this is rediculous and I think so many of us are in the same situation. This year is all about sustainability, recycling outfits, having fun doing it and thinking outside the box. I want to break this superficial cycle of everything having to be new and designer when about 5% of us can afford to do this. I think we should be counting ourselves rich for being lucky enough to have a wardrobe full and take ideas from each other’s looks instead of needing the exact same outfit 🙌
