  1. You’ve only gone and WON THE SPINE race!!! 87hours and 41mins and 268miles later. You’re literally my hero in every sense. I know this will be the icing on the cake for you Goss. The Spine Part 2 was for you, for closure, to have the ending your way after your world came crashing down this time last year 💔🫶🏻. It’s been an absolute privilege literally living on my phone, and taking over Goss’s social media. I can’t put into words how much this absolute gem of a person means to us. When I did my first Pro race, Goss sent me an email (she didn’t really know me) and said to go out and enjoy it. It meant the world. Fastforward 10 years and she’s one of our very best friends and was also The Vicar at our wedding. Fun fact. What can’t this superwoman do! There is no denying 2024 was tough for Goss. Literally this time last year was one of the hardest things to see your close friend go through. We all felt heartbroken. If you haven’t read her ‘why’ behind The Spine Race Part 2, then I will put a link in my story to read. I will let Goss in time write her post race post. Thank you Goss for being a hero to so many people. For me personally, thank you for being a best friend, you’ve helped guide me in my life in many ways, in my Pro career, and also to try and be a better person each day, and follow my heart in life. Shedding a few tears right now 🥹🥹🥹 what a legend. Thank you to everyone who’s supported Goss and been as obsessed with the tracker as us 🤣. Big ❤️ you have been the best!   2. BIG update…’Choosing to suffer is a privilege’. 225miles into the @spinerace race. And I need your help!!! This message is so so powerful, it’s come in LIVE from Goss about an hour ago. How on earth Goss is doing this after nearly 78hours into the race. We are trying to get in touch with @chrishoy1 . Chris i know this is a long shot, if you see this - Goss is 225miles into the Spine race, AND LEADING, all whilst raising money for a small charity - @moveagainstcancercharity Can anyone share this post, I know it’s a long shot but let’s see if we can do it ❤️.   3. Hello! I thought I’d do an introduction as I’ve picked up lots of new followers after the Spine race (I’m not that interesting really!) I’m an oncologist and treat testicular cancers and sarcomas. I’m also passionate about promoting the benefits of exercise for those living with and after cancer and am co-founder of the small but mighty Move Against Cancer charity. I used to race as a professional triathlete and won 14 Iron distance races in my time. I called myself an accidental pro-triathlete as it all started after a drunken dare when a long term relationship ended! I’m now a bit of an accidental ultra-runner - my love for adventures by foot started when I walked across wales as a holiday in Covid times because I couldn’t find an AirBnB. I recently won the winter spine race which is crazy. But not as crazy as the story of last year’s race. My real win was surviving a tough year in 2024 to make the start line happy again. I talk a lot but also need time to recharge solo and watch a surprising amount of trash TV. Oh and I was also ‘vicar’ at the wedding of two of my closest friends. . .
