Since everyone is heading off to uni at this time of year… I made the move from the big city of Glasgow to the Isle of Skye when I was 18 to study at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig 🎓 Going to uni on an island was clearly going to be very different to uni in a city but I absolutely loved it. There are not many places you can study and have all this beauty on your doorstep.   2. The junction | Our Perthshire project was the perfect example of collaborative approach between the designer and landscaper. Chris & Euan from @faodail_landscapes and I spent hours and hours discussing the setting out, laying lines and details of every inch of this boardwalk. Due to the irregular angles and jagged shifts it took between the trees (and being such 🤓 perfectionists), we enjoyed figuring out how this particular change in direction on one of the metal sections would work. We to and fro with different options, moving heavy grids around until we feel we’ve got it right. One of my favourite parts of this whole project and I enjoy walking it each time I’m here.   2. 5 years between these photos.. I’m so proud of how far I’ve came since the last slide. I was sooo underweight, this was taken not even a year after having a baby and that’s just insane too me. I was in such a toxic, abusive relationship. Grieving the loss of my dad, struggling with postpartum, just at one of the lowest points of my life. I haven’t done anything diet or exercise wise to gain weight.. just cut off toxic relationships, focused on myself and done whatever has made me happy in life and stopped giving a fuck about everyone else’s input because I spent too many years being scrutinised for everything I done in my life and let it affect me to the point I wanted to end my life and have been left with bad mental health still as an adult from all of that, if only I could go back in time and tell my teenage self that no matter what you do, there will always be people hating, don’t focus on that because it will eat you up. Focus on the people who support you, who respect you, who build you up and want to see you succeed. Anyone less is not worth your time and energy. Just keep being your authentic beautiful self and be proud of it, only you know how hard it’s been to get to where you are today 🖤
