Disconnecting from the world and reconnecting with each other>>> No wifi, no tv, little to no phone service… just us, in a tiny home with whatever we decided to bring for “entertainment” (i.e. coloring book, games, snacks, etc). Oftentimes, life can be super “loud” and chaotic at home; especially because we’re business partners/ full time entrepreneurs. After long, exhausting work days, we have a tendency to fall into an autopilot mode (doom scrolling until we’re tired or Netflix & chilling until we pass out on the couch then wake up and repeat it all over again) that isn’t beneficial nor productive for improving the overall health of our life & our marriage. This getaway allowed us really unpack, unwind, & discuss A LOT that we’d been putting on the back burner; our wants, our goals, grievances &/or misunderstandings, future plans, expectations for our marriage, etc. It was such a beautiful & necessary reset!
