  3. Six years. Four IUIs. Five loses. Seven egg retrievals. Twelve embryos. Two transfers. But none of those things brought us you. One little boy, who stole our hearts, brought us you. As our hearts began to shatter into a million little pieces, we simultaneously, learned of your existence. A complete surprise. We had decided to take a break from fertility treatments while we tried to navigate becoming first time parents to Beans. We believe Beans was sent our way to help show his baby sister the way… and we were placed in his life to help ensure he ends up where he needs to be. We know that he will never be coming back home to us, but that hasn’t stopped us from fighting to get him to the best possible place. The news of this baby came right as his case started to take a turn for the worse— and we had to simultaneously navigate the worst heartbreak and having our prayers answered after six years. Beans will always be our first baby and I know he would have been the best big brother. I hope one day he can meet her and we can thank him for giving us the greatest gift. Baby Girl Fanning, in true Fanning fashion was running incredibly late, but after six years, she will finally make her debut this summer! To all those who are still in the infertility struggle, I want you to know that I know how hard this announcement is to see— we’ve been there time and time again, but I hope we can also give you hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There were so many times we thought we would never get here— I know the thoughts that cloud your mind, but I promise you, your baby is out there somewhere! 🩷
