  3. On Sunday I run the @londonmarathon with a fridge on my back but why.. Well when my mum was diagnosed with dementia, I was just 15. I didn’t understand it — just my dad telling us she had 6 to 10 years to live. I used to sit in my bed at night in tears, praying she would make it to my 21st birthday. By the time I was 20, those prayers had changed. I found myself wishing she was at peace. She’d been stripped of everything that made her human — my mum, a wife, a friend. When she died, I didn’t just grieve her. Her dementia was familial — if I carried the gene, I would get it too. Between 15 and 23, I was numb to joy. I escaped through sport… and when that didn’t go to plan, I turned to alcohol. My life spiralled — depression, anxiety, and fear of what my future could look like. You know the one thing that keeps you here when every intrusive thought tells you to give up? I wish I could say it was hope… but when my genetic consultant said, “Jordan, it’s not the result we were all hoping for,” I had none left. The one thing that kept me here was support. Strangers. My family. People showing up when we were all at rock bottom. Support is everything. Because we all carry something… but we don’t have to carry it alone. It rebuilt my life. Helped me create light in my darkest moments — and now reflect that into others. If nothing changes, my reality is stark. By 45, I may not remember my name. My children could attend my funeral before they’re even teenagers. But I believe in miracles. And I’m on a mission to deliver one — to millions of people. It starts with this: Making dementia visible. If we get people to listen, we can change the world — one step at a time. This Sunday, I run the London Marathon carrying a 25kg fridge — a physical reminder of the weight I’ve carried for years 💙

  1. You’ve only gone and WON THE SPINE race!!! 87hours and 41mins and 268miles later. You’re literally my hero in every sense. I know this will be the icing on the cake for you Goss. The Spine Part 2 was for you, for closure, to have the ending your way after your world came crashing down this time last year 💔🫶🏻. It’s been an absolute privilege literally living on my phone, and taking over Goss’s social media. I can’t put into words how much this absolute gem of a person means to us. When I did my first Pro race, Goss sent me an email (she didn’t really know me) and said to go out and enjoy it. It meant the world. Fastforward 10 years and she’s one of our very best friends and was also The Vicar at our wedding. Fun fact. What can’t this superwoman do! There is no denying 2024 was tough for Goss. Literally this time last year was one of the hardest things to see your close friend go through. We all felt heartbroken. If you haven’t read her ‘why’ behind The Spine Race Part 2, then I will put a link in my story to read. I will let Goss in time write her post race post. Thank you Goss for being a hero to so many people. For me personally, thank you for being a best friend, you’ve helped guide me in my life in many ways, in my Pro career, and also to try and be a better person each day, and follow my heart in life. Shedding a few tears right now 🥹🥹🥹 what a legend. Thank you to everyone who’s supported Goss and been as obsessed with the tracker as us 🤣. Big ❤️ you have been the best! Big congrats to all the athletes racing and a big thank you to all the volunteers, you’re the heart and soul of it all ❤️. Okay over and out from me 🫶🏻. The next post will be from the superhuman herself! 📸: @spinerace

  2. #mondaymotivation This is VERY uncomfortable to post but the reality of how I was. Stuck in a vicious cycle of unhealthy eating & no exercise. I get asked how do I have the motivation everyday, the answer is I don’t. We are human, you can’t feel motivated 100% all the time. In fact, motivation for me comes after a workout or once I’ve made myself do something I know will benefit me. It helps to plan ahead my exercise & food which is now part of my routine. There are numerous days when I don’t want to exercise or go outside! But I think of the feeling I’ll have after, there’s no such thing as regretting a workout! Don’t wait until you feel motivated if you’re wanting to make changes. Start now. Re-evaluate your eating habits, exercise, incorporate changes into your routine. Why wait till next week or next month when you can start tomorrow? The hardest part is starting. I started focusing on my calorie intake, increased my steps, started running (even though I couldn’t run). In July, I started weight training, HIIT with @courtneydblack & since then I’ve never looked back, I’ve built a routine that works for me which in turn motivates me. Do you tell yourself you can’t do it? Do you tell yourself you’ll never be fit, you’ll never be a runner, you’re not built like others so why bother to start? Do you make changes and give up after a month because you’re not what you want to look like? Do you tell yourself people will stare at you if you go for a run? I used to. WELL DON’T! YOU CAN DO IT. Forget about others. It’s your body. If you want to feel good about yourself then stop overthinking it, make those decisions, plan ahead and start tomorrow. Remember how amazing you are & how you will feel. #motivation #trainedbycb #inspiration #caloriecounting #caloriedeficit #weightlosstransformation #beforeandafter #courtneyblackapp #beforeandafterweightloss #swweightloss #weightlossjourney #swbreakfast #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #weightlossprogress #progress #gym #gymmotivation #transformationtuesday #weightlosstransformation #transformation #nonscalevictory #weightlossbeforeandafter #healthylifestyle #swprogress #gymshark66 #weighttraining #homeworkout #cb
