  2. Ok.. super confused! [UPDATE.. see pinned comment] First off.. I love the idea of this.. @mcdonaldsnl now have #statiegeldbekers (deposit cups). You pay a euro extra, but get it back when you return the cup. The benefit to the planet seems great (or rather.. better than single use items).. although they are a hard plastic still. The benefit to the consumer is that they don't have to pay the plastic tax (15cents) Now.. as they are a euro each, I was shocked to find 5 cups near McDonald's yesterday (and another one this morning). Oh well.. more money for me! Woohoo Just to be clear.. these were thrown on the ground over the weekend. I know that with confidence, because we did a group cleanup the day before!!!! So.. I went to return them today (Or rather.. I returned them twice because I showed up too early this morning🤦‍♂️🤣 haha) But.. Instead of 6 euros.. I could only return 1. "These ones don't have a logo on them, sir" Now I am confused.. These were fresh cups, next to the restaurant. How come only 1 had a logo? Are they selling both sorts?!! [...Removed Paragraph To Add Update Above...] Just to reiterate.. THESE ARE CUPS THAT WERE THROWN ON THE GROUND OVER THE WEEKEND. These are not old cups.. I cleaned them and they were spotless. Clearly new. Can someone help explain this to me? I might be missing something as I am not a McDonald's consumer really. I was a bit shocked when the employee simply said "you can put them in the recycling".. I presume that just like the single use plastic bottles, these hard plastic cups cannot be turned into new plastic cups. I REALLY REALLY like the idea @mcdonalds has here.. (I will assume that they have done an evaluation to confirm that a hard plastic cup like this is better?)   1. hiii this is me. you cant see it, but i struggle with an eating disorder. ⠀ ⠀ yes i know⠀ i eat, i look a hell of a lot better, i am no longer inpatient, i am not forced to rest, eat or be tubed. i am able to smile, and explore again. i have more colour on my face, and my hair is growing back⠀ yet....⠀ ⠀ i. am. still. struggling. with. an. eating. disorder. ⠀ i share this because i want to break the stigma around eating disorder. people with eating disorders eat, can look healthy, can “look” happy. ⠀ eating disorders are most of the time NOT visible, and you dont have to look “sick” from the outside to be seriously struggling with one. eating disorders dont have a look (thats why its a MENTAL illness you know, its mentally 😉). you can not see the inner battle that anyone with an eating disorder has to face daily.⠀ ⠀ too many beautiful souls are struggling in silence because they are to scared to open up or they are not taken seriously by doctors/etc, and that is painful to see. ⠀ ⠀ everyone should be able to get the support, love and treatment they need to heal their relationship with food and with themself. ⠀ ⠀ for every family member, friend, GP, doctor, health care professional, etc;⠀ ❤️ please listen, support and take the person very serious. dont focus on their body; it doesnt say anything about how sick the person is.⠀ ⠀ for you, the you that is struggling but too scared to open up, or doesnt get taken seriously;⠀ ⠀ ❤️ your struggles matter.⠀ ❤️ your are sick enough.⠀ ❤️ and you deserve to get the help you need to heal. ⠀ ⠀ #BreakTheStigma #EatingDisorderAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #EatingDisorderRecovery #AnorexiaWarrior #openup ⠀ ⠀

  2. the night that this miracle came into this world, something very scary but eye opening happend.⁣ ⁣ my blood sugar dropped very low & i knew i was going to faint. but this time it felt so different that the other times i fainted. it may sounds weird, but i saw my whole life flicking before my eyes and something within me wisphered to me that my body will not survive if i keep going like this. i cant describe into words how bloody weird and scary this was, to feel like you are playing with your life???? yet, it was the biggest wake up call ever. ⁣ ⁣ in my 5 year recovery journey, i always gave the eating disorder two, maybe even three fingers, ‘just to keep me safe and in semi control’. but whenever it sees a chance; it grabs your whole hand & takes u down into the darkness. it happend once again the last couple weeks. ⁣the saddest hardest weeks ever. but is this really how i wanna live my life? recovering, relapsing, recovering relapsing, staying in quasi-recovery and with that also having to give up my biggest dream? always living in fear and anxiety? a life full of controlling my food? and at the end, l o s i n g my life? (cuz eating disorders KILL) ⁣ ⁣ NO. i want to recover. more than ever. ⁣ so from today on; i am making the desicion to give recovery my all. my treatment team told me that they really need to SEE my motivation in actions, not only words. otherwise they cant support me anymore. so no finger for the eating disorder this time. no more hiding things from my therapists but being 100% honest. no more quasi-recovery. i want to be free from all this so i can make my biggest dream come true and help others. i want to feel alive, not barely survive. ⁣ it is gonna be the toughest, hardest, scariest, most stormy climb ever. ⁣i will fall, cry, fail, wanna give up. but thats part of the journey. the view on top of the mountain will be freaking worth it. i am so scared for the road a head of me (kinda screaming right now me is so scared hahaha) but i let my faith be bigger than my fear this time. like my favourite quote;⁣ ⁣ “𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙞 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡?⁣ ⁣ 𝙤𝙝 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙡𝙮? “✨🦋💭⁣ ⁣ #anorexiarecovery #eatingdisorderrecovery #eatingdisorderawareness ⁣
