  3. 7 years in the gym and here we are. ✨ Nothing I love more than looking back at how far I’ve come. I first stepped into the gym to recover from an injury, and I fell in love. Not with how I looked, but with how it made me feel mentally. Training became my safe place. But somewhere along the way, that love shifted. Feeling good turned into wanting to be as small as possible. I became obsessive with the gym and my diet, and lost my love for training. About 1.5 years later, I knew something had to change. So I tried… and I did (took some trial and error tho) :). I committed to my first proper bulk and gained around 18–20 kg, along with so much strength and muscle. After that, I spent the past ~2,5 years eating at maintenance, allowing my body to slowly tone down and build muscle over a longer period of time. No rush. No extremes. Over the past 4 years, I’ve gained around 18+ kg and I’ve never felt better. Your weight doesn’t define your worth, and being the smallest version of yourself isn’t always the healthiest. For me, it was the complete opposite. More than the physical changes, the biggest transformation has been mental, finding balance, confidence, and genuinely enjoying the process again!! You’re capable of so much more than you think. Enjoy the process, it’s worth it. You’re worth it. 🤍 What I focus on now: - Focus on getting my steps in (± 8k daily) - 2 heavy, controlled, glute-focused leg days per week - Add more explosive cardio (because I love how it makes me feel) - 1–2 full upper body days - Eat clean: more organic, less processed foods - Get my protein mainly from real food, not powders - Enjoy the process, because being consistently good beats being occasionally great, and that’s where real progress is found. wearing @dfyne.official “PUCK” 🤍 #fitnesstransformation #fitnessjourney

  3. 🏥👶🏼NAAR HUIS 💛🐶🏠 na 3 weken ziekenhuis waarvan 16 dagen met Mickey, mochten we naar huis. 4 weken voor zijn uitgerekende datum 🥹 totaal onwerkelijk, maar ontzettend fijn. Hij is nu 35 + 4 weken oud, wat gek klinkt, want hij is al geboren. Toch bereken je dat zo met premature kinderen. We zijn ongelooflijk trots op hem. En we zijn ontzettend dankbaar voor de fantastische zorg van iedereen bij @geboortezorgrijnstate. Waanzinnig lieve en goede verpleegkundigen, (kinder)artsen, gynaecologen en kraamverzorgers die Jeff, Mickey en mij gesteund, geholpen en verzorgd hebben. Die hebben geluisterd, gekalmeerd en voorgelicht. Die vanaf het eerste moment zorgden voor rust en vertrouwen. Echt goud waard. Jeff en ik gaan jullie nooit meer vergeten 🥹🫶

  3. A sad wedding… Not a word combination you will find often. Still a word combination that makes me feel sorrow. We all get taught an imagine and the expectation that weddings are supposed to be happy, the best time of your life even. We are not prepared for the stress, the pressure, the loss of friends, the missing of relatives and my depression that followed. We’re not prepared for the sadness that may surround a wedding. Nothing could have prepared me for the death of @dennisdiem , the designer of the dress and someone I looked up to and loved dearly. Which I wanted to talk about for months now but just couldn’t. Every time I started writing I just froze at the combination of those words… A sad wedding… His death made it even sadder. The beauty but also morbid side of it is that Dennis and I designed the wedding dress in such a way that I could wear different parts of it on different occasions. Never knowing that the first time I would wear a part of the wedding dress again would be to his funeral. Losing Dennis Diem had a huge impact on me, off course in respect to others that were even closer to him. I’m not a person to dwell in sadness by choice, just because I know I would never get out of it anymore. So @renatadutreephotography and me collaborated on making art out of this sadness surrounding the wedding. Don’t get me wrong the wedding also brought a lot of joy, strengthen of friendships and family and an embodiment of the years my husband and I invested in each other. I'm so happy that these pictures actually won prizes and I’m more then happy to see then mmm features in numerous galeries and art fairs like @atelierk84 & @nocknock.art and even in Paris!   1. Hoe ouder ik word, hoe meer ik snap dat je in het leven niet naar een moment van perfectie toe leeft, maar dat het leven golfbewegingen heeft. Met pieken en dalen en alles er tussenin. Afgelopen weken hadden we hele mooie momenten met Glenn z’n tour, konden we eindelijk weer samen zwemmen in de IJssel (hele favoriete zomerbezigheid), dansten mijn lieve Emmily en ik en haar heerlijke vriendinnen vast een nieuw levensjaar tegemoet, dansten Glenn en ik in het zand van Vlieland èn had een goede vriendin een plotseling groot verlies waardoor je je weer heel bewust wordt van de kwetsbaarheid van alles en hoe rauw het leven soms kan zijn. Wat ik tegenwoordig nastreef? Vrede ipv perfectie. Schouders eronder als het moet maar vooral ook rust en verzachting. In en naar mezelf. En naar iedereen en alles om me heen 🤍 mooie nieuwe week allemaal. X

  2. Oktober. De maand dat ik Glenn heb ontmoet. En de maand die ik al jaren om mijn nek draag. Ik geniet enorm van het begin van deze herfst. Maar @mctyphoon en ik hebben ook een zwaar hart. Veel mensen om ons heen worden direct geraakt door alles wat er nu speelt. In mijn stories van vandaag staat een linkje naar een prachtige artikel in @trouw.deverdieping van de vader van mijn vriendin @laylakaspi. Over het belang van elkaar ontmoeten en echt naar elkaar luisteren. Juist ook hier in onze eigen omgeving 🤍

  3. Ik dus helemaal verbaasd dat zoveel mensen aan onze trouwdag dachten. Tot ik Glenn z’n insta zag 😂 Man deze dag 2021🥰 En dat we dit jaar 27 juni mochten vieren in het binnenland van Suriname was ook groot feest. Met zoveel lieve berichtjes, een ontbijtje aan de deur, de mooiste omgeving op aarde en de liefste leukste knapste man aan mijn zijde 🤍🫠🙏🏽 📸 @amandadrost.photography
