  2. What I used 👇🏽 A lot of people hit 6 HIIT sessions a week thinking “if I train like Hyrox, I’ll do good at Hyrox.” It doesn’t really work like that. You need to build each engine individually, both your aerobic capacity and your muscular endurance. This split is what I have found works best: Mon - rest day Tue - upper strength & intervals Wed- lower strength & erg work Thur - rest day Fri - upper strength & tempo run Sat - conditioning Sun - long run About 4 weeks out, increase conditioning and station work slightly. One week out, taper it back. Running 🏃🏼‍♀️ Intervals build speed and fast recovery (anaerobic). Tempo runs build your ability to run under fatigue. Long runs develop aerobic capacity. Think of your body as a car, your aerobic capacity is your engine and your anaerobic capacity is the throttle. Strength 🏋🏼‍♀️ Strength work develops the muscles you actually need on race day and trains the movement patterns of each station. Muscular endurance is so important to prevent fatigue and allow you to run under fatigue. Conditioning 💦 Erg conditioning improves efficiency on ski & row and builds threshold capacity (increasing your limit to work harder for longer). Covering the Tokyo Olympics has been a true highlight. What a pleasure to report on happy news after 2 years of covid chaos! I’ve spent half of my career at TEN and so many colleagues have become friends and even family…. And will be forever ♥️ But it’s time for a new chapter! (Details after the break …. Most of you know I’m a sassy (and very attractive) social hand grenade with an ego the size of a Mac Truck… And a penchant for sarcasm 😉 All fair observations #stayhumble 👌 But in a time when depression, anxiety and self harm are at record highs, I thought it might be helpful to show, that if you do feel like you’re drowning, you are NOT ALONE. These pics were taken a few years back on I’m A Celeb. And then my time working in the Middle East travelling with refugees fleeing Syria. And there’s been plenty more tears shed when a camera wasn’t capturing it. I was diagnosed with Major Depression at 15 and been on meds ever since + consistent psychiatric therapy + exercise. You will never be fully cured, but I promise, there’s light at the end of the tunnel… even if it’s an effing long tunnel!! I hope that if you’re reading this and feeling helpless or know someone who is, it will encourage you to get the help you deserve. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness @fearlessptsdaustnz ruokday @beyondblueofficial @headspace

  3. Yes @holland.earthworx Shane and the lads killed it 🙌🏼🔥🥹 So grateful for the hard work and attention to detail that’s been put in over a huge 2 days. We had the front, sides and backyard scraped, levelled and an additional crossover added to achieve the new in out driveway and put the space we had to good use. I found these toppings last minute (literally) and couldn’t be any happier with the colour!! Alot to still finish off out here but one huge step closer to seeing the visions all come to life! 🙌🏼👏🏼🤎
