  3. I can’t believe that I’m actually here. What a journey it’s been. I still remember watching the 2004 Athens Olympics with the rest of my family on our box TV back in Troy, Ohio. I distinctly remember watching the Men’s 100 fly, witnessing Michael Phelps pull off an incredible comeback (the same way he did in 2008) and beat Ian Crocker. And I remember in that moment, I wanted to know what it must feel like to be an Olympian. To be at the Olympics. My older brothers and I, along with our mom and dad, have watched every race in swimming, and a bunch from other sports, at every Games since then. The Olympics became a sort of religious event for us. And in 2016, when one of us went to the Olympics for the first time (and ended up going again in 2020), that was a dream come true for all of us. To follow in his footsteps, to be here now, at the event I’ve dreamed of attending for so long— I don’t have the words to describe what this means to me, how fulfilling this moment is, or how gratifying the journey has been. But it’s been all of that and more. Especially after the past 5 years. Thank you to my family for being my rock, thank you to my friends and loved ones for helping me stay grounded and happy, thank you to all of my coaches for guiding me throughout the years, thank you to the kids that I coach, you guys inspired me to chase my dreams once again, and finally, thank you to this beautiful sport; for teaching me values about life I never would’ve learned had I not been tested by the uncertain waters of a career in competitive swimming.   2. With the number of Covid positive patients steadily rising and the healthcare systems now overwhelmed, we had no choice but to move to a telephone based home-care system. Honestly there couldn’t be a more fitting quote at this time 👸🏽 I’m sure most of you would have seen the events that took place last night in Sri Lanka on social media and the numerous memes made about it. I don’t know if it’s a PR stunt (gone wrong), but to take someone down so so publicly when she was not harming anyone was exceptionally immature. The situation could have been handled behind close doors and was completely unnecessary. Women have enough problems as it is, let’s stick together and empower one another instead of tearing each other up. 💪🏽🙋🏽‍♀️

  3. 📍Kutaisi, Georgia 🇬🇪 Country number 78 😁 Great to be in Georgia and so far the people have been so warm and welcoming! 🇬🇪 Food has been amazing! Lobiani, Kachi puri, Ojakuri, Chikhirtma , Churchkhela , Chicken skewers, The nature and moments also have been breathing - from canyons, to caves to , monasteries just wow! Caves over 25 million years old! Incredible! I would highly recommend a visit to this amazing country! Still so much to explore - can’t wait!
