  3. Dan bipolarnog poremećaja – Klinika Sveti Ivan, Zagreb, 4. travnja 2025. U dirljivom obraćanju, Matea McConnell podijelila je iskustvo gubitka supruga Johna, koji je preminuo od suicida, nakon duge borbe s bipolarnim poremećajem. Naglasila je koliko je i obitelji teško prepoznati znakove bolesti – jer ih nitko tome ne uči. Obiteljima je potrebna edukacija, ali i vlastita psihološka podrška. Svoju priču ispričala je hrabro i iskreno – i danas su i ona i njezina djeca postali zagovornici mentalnog zdravlja.
