  2. This Mother’s Day, I found myself looking back at the earliest days of my motherhood journey. I remember the very first day I became a mother the day my entire life changed forever. Everything suddenly had a new meaning. Now, as the mother of an almost four-year-old son, I look back at that younger version of myself with so much pride. It was my first time, I was learning everything as I went, yet somehow I knew how to comfort my baby, how to soothe him, and how to love him with everything I had. Sometimes I wish I could go back and give that version of myself a hug, the tired, learning, trying mother who was doing her best every single day. I’m so proud of her.
