Every sewer has a love-hate situationship with their seam ripper. Unpicking needs to be normalised. 4. Iron like your life depends on it – I never used to press my seams and my god does it make a difference. Pressing makes your project look 10x more professional. It was on 13 October 1940 and was her very first public speech and was an address to the children of the Commonwealth, many of them living away from home due to war.
