All glory to God, who whispered dreams into my soul and then showed me how to fly. 🙏🏾 For 3.5 years, I’ve been chasing this Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Picked up a Master’s in Functional Nutrition—two classes to go. I’m living my wildest dreams, walking through what once felt impossible. And as I sit here, I ponder the moments that shaped me, held me, made me. This program tested me like no other. I packed up my life, moved cross-country, and left family behind. I walked away from bad relationships, and stood up from the wreckage of an abusive partner. I broke free from the toxic ties of a draining friendship. I survived an accident where a motorcycle crashed into me at 150 mph, I danced with death but God chose life. I’ve been a victim of a hit-and-run. I hustled multiple jobs, juggled 36 credit hours, Had nights where the hustle was for survival, not success, Days when hunger was my only companion, but my story doesn’t end here. But God! On the other side of every storm, His blessings rain down. Faith walked me through, and God kept showing up. There was always a refuge—my unyielding faith in His masterpiece. Looking at these pictures, I see my tribe, my uplift, my love without measure. Blessed and grateful for each of you who held me up without even knowing. Grateful for the chance to learn, to serve, to grow in this sacred space. It’s my honor to provide care, to heal, to transform what healthcare means. The skills, the wisdom I’ve gained serve as foundation for the steps that follow. As I turn the page to the next chapter, I feel an immense amount of gratitude. To God, for His unwavering guidance and love. To my Haitian parents, who planted resilience deep within me. To my siblings, whom have always believed in me. March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and I wanted to share a bit of my journey 💛🎗️    Five years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis, and it completely changed my life.   Looking back, the signs were always there. I had painful periods for as long as I can remember, but like so many of us, I was told it was “normal.” So I ignored it. As I got older, the pain only got worse, but I kept pushing through.     Before my diagnosis, I really wasn’t taking care of myself the way I should have. I was eating inflammatory/ processed foods, overworking myself to build my styling career, and constantly running on empty,until my body had enough. A cyst ruptured, and I experienced the worst pain of my life.     That’s when I knew something was wrong and my pain wasn’t normal.     I finally found a doctor who actually listened. After extra tests, we found three ovarian cysts-1 the size of a golf ball. A few months later, I had laparoscopic surgery, which confirmed my endo diagnosis.     Post-surgery, I’ve committed to the 80/20 diet—80% nourishing/ feel good foods, 20% balance (I cannot and will not give up a sweet treat 😉😅) I started working out 4-5x a week (3-4x when I’m on my period). That shift led to a 20-pound weight loss-not about the number, but about feeling stronger, healthier, and more in tune with myself. Above ALL, I prioritize self-care. If you know me you know I don’t play when it comes to self-care lol.     Looking back, endo was a blessing in disguise. It made me slow down, prioritize my well-being, and build a life that truly supports me. I live a healthier, more intentional life now, but it wasn’t easy, and it still isn’t. Every day, I choose to be intentional, and the habits I’ve built are just part of my normal now.    If you have endo or are experiencing symptoms, I’d love to connect.   2. This is 37 🎂 We had a lot of ideas of what we wanted to do my birthday shoot. But this seemed most fitting in my home while it might not be “Instagram aesthetic “it’s my safe space. These past few years have been anything but easy. From losing a 10 year career when I was seven months pregnant to having to find myself again as a mom again ,as a provider , and as just a girl who’s just living life for the first time. It definitely hasn’t always been easy. It has come with many tears shed (and not just by the toddler 😂) and many unknowns. But at the same time, I realized I had everything I ever wished for when I was just a single mom trying to make by and do the best I could. God has blessed me quietly without even realizing it with the life I always wanted and prayed for. I have a home full of laughter and love a brother for Troy, and a partner with me through it all even if it comes with the chaos and all the messes that yes I have to clean lol. It comes with a home full of laughter, a family, and four walls filled with joy. and yes, I may not go out as much anymore. I may find myself at home more than anywhere else, and I may not feel I have the phonebook of people to call on the rough days as I used to. but I do have two sons that are healthy and happy and love me wholeheartedly, and a partner there for me through the ROUGH times. And trust me there’s been a LOT! There’s days where we don’t know how we’re gonna make things happen, but we trust in God and somehow we always figure it out. and for those things I am so grateful and for everything else I am just putting it in God’s hands. So this year on my birthday, I choose to focus on the things that I am RICH in and I’m beyond thankful for them and truly blessed.
