  3. Sometimes growth means building with all your heart… and then becoming okay with tearing it all down when God says move. I thought my first salon would be forever, or at least longer than 2.5 years. I sacrificed, cried, and poured everything (literally every penny) into it, all while having the beautiful experience of finding myself in the process. But God taught me that where He plants you, you will be tested, and in that testing you will be transformed and made new. And sometimes that transformation means starting over, this time more wise and more faithful. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1) Letting go of this space was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I felt like I had failed, but I had to think about ALLLLLL of the times Gods direction never failed me!. So in my obedience, God began leading me into my promise land, a space more beautiful, more intimate, and more aligned with who I was becoming. A place and the woman God had shown me since I was a lil girl. “For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land.” (Deuteronomy 8:7–10) I now understand, The Promise Land reflects what happens when you create a God-centered ecosystem. Because sometimes God has to uproot and tear down in order to plant you in better soil, where your harvest will overflow. That’s the beauty of a breakdown turned breakthrough! (Jeremiah 1:10) So welcome to my new series.
