  3. Je n’ai jamais partagé une publication comme celle-ci, mais j’ai vraiment été bouleversée hier au métro Crémazie et j’ai passé la nuit à penser à cette femme + ses enfants. Peut-être parce que ça me rappelait mon enfance et ma merveilleuse maman. Je me suis demandé quelle avait été la chose la plus difficile qu’elle avait dû faire pour réussir à boucler une fin de mois. Et je ne vous dis pas que j’étais malheureuse… au contraire, j’ai eu une très belle enfance! Mais clairement, le filet social était meilleur à l’époque qu’aujourd’hui, et c’est quelque chose qui doit absolument être restauré.

  3. There is a misconception that many of my clients and collaborators have, and it’s that I rarely shoot in colour and do almost all of my portraits in black and white. Let me clarify. I developed a strong love for black and white portraits almost right away as I started photography. Apart from personal taste preference , I also think that black and white images in most cases reveal a person’s soul better and allow people to focus primarily on the subject and the meaning , whereas colour can distract the viewer if it isn’t used properly. That being said, I absolutely love shooting in colour ! I just think that colour needs to be used gently and a photographer needs to know when and how to use it. It shouldn’t take away too much attention from the subject or the scene , but add beauty and meaning to it to create an elegant balance that transforms the image and makes it beautiful. This shot in my opinion is like that. I initially wanted to do it in black and white but quickly realized that it is meant to be in colour ! Definitely one of my favourite shots of 2021.   2. 1+1 = 3 Jamais on a désiré quelque chose aussi profondément. Après une attente de près de 5 ans, 60 cycles de larmes devant un petit criss de bâton qui voulait pas afficher un doublé, un passage en fertilité; 1-2-3-4-5-6 inséminations, 2 cycles de stimulation et 3 transferts d’embryon, la vie nous a envoyé un cadeau. Contrairement aux autres défis que nous avons affrontés jusqu’à présent où nous pouvions être créatifs, dans l’action, dans la stratégie, ici on va se dire les vraies affaires, on avait aucune fucking pogne sur rien. Des tests à plus finir. Infertilité inexpliqué. Sentiment d’injustice. La vie qui nous glisse entre les mains et le temps qui passe. Tic tac crac, nos cœurs brisés, souvent. Un beat de vie qui ressemble à: une débarque, on se relève, une débarque, on se relève (bis bis bis). Par contre, au cœur de tout ça, il y avait le Nous. Ce Nous qui agit comme phare quand ça brasse. Qui nous permet d’avancer dans le brouillard. Qui nous permet de s’accrocher et de trouver de la lumière, toujours. Ce parcours nous aura transmis d’importantes leçons et nous en sommes reconnaissants. Nous avons maintenant la certitude qu’à travers les défis, la résilience et la persévérance, la vie a ses propres timing et qu’ils sont pour le mieux. Avec de la perspective et du recul, on a fini par comprendre, par accepter et même par être reconnaissants. On le referait s’il le fallait. Notre duo était fort, il est maintenant indestructible. On est prêt à accueillir un nouveau membre à notre «petite équipe de rap » iykyk ;) On ne comble pas un manque, on ajoute un nouveau pan; imprévisible, chaotique et transformateur. Nous sommes prêts à perdre le contrôle, à évoluer, à s’adapter et à être bouleversés par cet amour qu’on nous promet sans limite. Bring it on life, BRING IT ON! On est à mi chemin et on a tellement hâte. En fait, on a hâte en esti! Fin octobre 🤍 JD & Cha

  3. 🎰🎲♠️ Vintage Vegas casino inspired shoot with the homies because it’s that time of year where we go to Sin City to celebrate all things vintage, pin-up and rockabilly at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly weekender! This year is especially exciting because many MTL friends will be there including our local homies @thesloeginfizz who will be performing on stage!
