  3. Deep pressure stimulation, often called deep pressure therapy, is a clinically proven coping strategy for managing anxiety and sensory overload symptoms. It works by providing pressure to the person experiencing an increase in sympathetic nervous system activity (fight or flight- a racing heart, panic, high anxiety, etc). This pressure can be delivered by a vest, weighted blanket, squeezes, or my personal fave, a (trusted) fully grown man lying on your back🤣 The pressure activates the parasympathetic nervous system (“rest and digest” system that promotes a calm body/relaxation). I personally believe the more labels we have, the further we are from a sustainable, healthy food supply.
